Alright, so, I was thinking about it, and I came to realize one thing Linkin Park hasn't tried, and that's to have a song with singing verses and a rapped bridge - sort of a reverse of the structures they have now. With Rick Rubin producing the album, I won't be surprised if I hear a Linkin Park song with that structure. I'd love to hear a song start off with nothing but singing (albeit if they throw Mike in there every once in a while [i.e. "Numb"] then that's okay) and suddenly have the song breakdown into a full-out rapcore song during the bridge. And as far as I know, Linkin Park doesn't have a song like that. I'd kill to hear a slow/medium-paced song utterly explode into a ferocious, rapcore-influenced bridge and carry that pace through the rest of the song. What do you guys think?
Not a bad idea, would be nice for a change. Of course not to many songs.. but just 1 or 2 to try out and see how it sounds.
It's really strange that they don't really have a song like that because it seems like a really logical and great idea. Hopefully Rick Rubin has noticed that too.
heyy! im the one who brought this up in another forum lol its ok tho i kinda like the idea of making a whole thread about it lol
What the fuck is rapcore? ...and yeah, Linkin Park don't really have any songs where Chester does the verses and then Mike does the chorus. I'd like to see something like that.
Something else they haven't done (And not saying they should, it's just something I thought about) is guitar solos and stuff like that... like, classic rock bands like Crue and Aerosmith, as well as others, have blistering guitar solos, and it's almost like it's a lost art... I'm not saying that they need to do it, or their music would be better if they did, because Brad has kickass riffs in all the songs he does... it just came to my attention...
