There is no director, producer, or writter that can top this man.
    Any Stanley Kubrick fans?
Or is there anything that can top the lines "Gentleman, you can't fight here! This is the war room!"?

I didn't think The Shining was his best film. But then again, I never took the time to sit down and actually watch it like I did with Strangelove or Barry Lyndon.

I loved Dr Strangelove for Peter Sellers' (funniest actor ever) performances. I didn't know Kubrick directed it. The films of his that I have seen (Strangelove, The Shining, Clockwork Orange) are great.

Yeah, Sellers was amazing in that movie, given the fact that he did three major parts.

I loved the phone call between him and the Prime Minister.

"I'm sorry, too, Dimitri. ... I'm very sorry. ... All right, you're sorrier than I am, but I am as sorry as well. ... I am as sorry as you are, Dimitri! Don't say that you're more sorry than I am, because I'm capable of being just as sorry as you are. ... So we're both sorry, all right?! ... All right."

I'm surprised you people are forgetting one of the greatest war films ever in Full Metal Jacket. Seeing that Vietnam is my favorite war to go back and research on, Kubrick did an awesome job. And hell, it made R.Lee Ermey's career right there
