So after all of Apple's computers have been upgraded to Core 2 Duo, what's next for Apple? There's the 6G iPod [aka. the true video] we've all been waiting for, the iPhone [and I really need a new phone soon], and there's also the "one last thing" from the show time event - the media centre. That should be an interesting competitor against the currently existing products. 2007 should be an interesting and exciting year as 2006 has been.

New Core 2 Duo processor, bigger harddrives, Firewire 800 on all models, and the optical drive is now dual layer write capable (all models). Not sure what else is new, apart from the higher min clock speed of the Core 2 Duos (the 15" used to be 2GHz, now it's 2.16GHz, and the 17 and 19 got bumped up to 2.33GHz). Surely I can't be the only one excited here?
Having bought a MacBook pro in august this year I'm not excited! A good update all round though, especially bumping up the RAM (2Gb in the higher models!!) and the hard drives. Means if I sold this machine and traded up I could buy a stock model. It's a nice update also as there's no radical design change, so I don't really feel the need to upgrade to that one urgently. Means I can wait it out with this one until leopard & iLife '07 come pre-installed and hopefully they make a few more design changes.
Yeah, my friend was helping me for help to get him a new computer, and his mom told me that he should get a laptop (and her reasons were good), so I'm like, hmm, yeah, I'll get him to buy a MBP. He has the money, and he's much better off (imo) buying a MBP than a Dell or something, which is running Windows. Plus with my luck, WoW works on OSX. Hopefully he doesn't kill me when he hears. Then again, it was his fault he didn't want to wait.
