For anybody that gives a damn (and I know a couple people that don't) The track listing has been revealed for Atreyu's upcoming 'best of' release, simply titled "The Best Of...", it will run as follows: 01 - "Lip Gloss And Black" 02 - "Ain't Love Grand" 03 - "Living Each Day Like You're Already Dead" 04 - "A Song For The Optimists" 05 - "Deanne The Arsonist" 06 - "Tulips Are Better" 07 - "Someone's Standing On My Chest" 08 - "Bleeding Mascara" 09 - "Right Side Of The Bed" 10 - "You Eclipsed By Me" 11 - "The Crimson" 12 - "Demonology And Heartache" 13 - "My Sanity On The Funeral Pyre" 14 - "Creature" 15 - "Untitled Finale" 16 - "Ex's And Oh's" 17 - "Shameful" 18 - "The Theft" The outing will see a January 23rd release date through Victory. Meanwhile, the band also have a new album planned out later in 2007 through their new label Hollywood Records. My Thoughts: So it's most likely a cash cow for their former label, but for a greatest hits, it's pretty packed with good songs. I'll most likely download it and not buy it. I like Atreyu though, decent band. I'll check it out. Besides, least there's a decent CD coming out on my B'Day.
......good one, Victory records. Is there even anything new worth buying this for? I would have appreciated if they included the Underworld Evolution song on here but of course Victory sucks too much for that. Atreyu is okay, but I think it's ridiculous that a Greatest Hits is being put out after so few releases.
Atreyu are currently my favourite band and have been for the last few months, and even though this is probably more Victory's decision than there's, a greatest hits after only 3 albums is just dumb.
this is pathetic. why won't this band die. there's not even a point to download this if it's all on the album. and greatest hits? my fucking ass.
...doesn't greatest hits usually mean "WE HAVE NO MONEY WE MIGHT BREAK UP GIVE US CASH." x_x ughhh. and half the tracklist isn't even "hits". no "her portrait in black"? i know it wasn't on a victory records album, but still...god.
The majority of those songs weren't ever even released as singles. And the only good song on that track list is "Demonology and Heartache."
But you know what I have learned from all of this...two things: 1.) Unless you protest outside with your pitchforks and torches telling them what money grubbing whores they are, nothing's going to stop the sales from this record. It will still sell a petty penny out of all of this. 2.) Never post a news article containing Atreyu news anymore.
You could just trick us. "Lamb of God to break up." Then when people read it in shock they'll just be happy to know Lamb of God is staying together and Atreyu is breaking up. I think we can only hope at this point.
I think two things would happen out of that. 1.) I'd get punched in the face by Testament. 2.) Franny would do something that...you know what, I don't want to know what the hell he would do.

i could care less about lamb of god. if atreyu broke up, i'd probably be extremly nice to everyone since i know, one less shitty band exists in the world.
We need to come up with a rule of thumb for minimum time for greatest hits collections. 2 Decades of solid studio work??
That's a little unreasonable, I think. There should be at least 6-8 years with 4-5 albums already out. You simply can't come up with a good greatest hits based on two albums.
