Christians live so much better, saying: "God will forgive my sins in death" But you don't see the bloodbath, the slaughter through which you’ve slept What part of your 'god' have you ever seen? What pushes you when your faith is no more than a dream? How many wars have so recklessly been fought? How many more must die in the name of god? I've seen the work of 'god' first-hand, how he let's those in need rot and grow cold I've seen enough of what does not exist, of the 'god' to whom your heart's been sold What part of your 'god' have you ever seen? What pushes you when your faith is no more than a dream? How many wars, have so blindly been fought? How many more, must die in the name of god? You hide behind the mask of divinity, and justify the worst of sins Telling us what is right and wrong watching as the line starts to thin Too many wars, have so recklessly been fought. Now come forth to witness the death of your 'god'! Look at what you've created now Look at what you gave birth to now Look at who's suffering now, in the name of 'god' Look at what you've destroyed now Look at who you took apart now Look at who is dead now, In the name of ‘god’. This piece was originally written by Cyclops (a.k.a. Chris a.k.a. Frontman C). He sent me it over MSN and I added on a verse and together we worked with the wording a bit, in hopes to add a bit more punch.
Definately happy with this...I'd like to add that this wasn't just a work to say "we don't believe in god (or believe christianity or religion all together is a load of crap)...deal with it!"...more like giving one of a million good reasons not to (why we don't)...imo thank you again for helping with the wording and adding to it...really made it in to a piece of work I can look at and know that it became what I wanted it to be
Awesome. More people need to speak out against Christianity(and all religion) using logic and reason instead of just saying they don't believe just as blindly as the ones who follow.
It's good but if you're gonna use religion as a song subject then you can't just single out christianity. Overall I like it though. I'm actualy working on my own piece about religion which I will post very soon. Good job though guys.
