2007 Year Of Change There are many rumors going around right now about our band, and we have finally ended up in a position to be able to share with you what has happened over the last couple months since the Atreyu Tour fiasco, the cancellation of the Lost Prophets tour, and our backing out of the Give It A Name festival. Sonny Moore has quit the band and is working on a solo career. We (Good, Richter, Bloom and Matt Manning -- now an official member, by the way) were in the studio writing for the new record getting ready to fly to Los Angeles to meet up with Sonny to record the record when we got the news about him leaving. Well damn...I didn't know about this. I like their music and it's going to be weird not having Sonny in the band anymore to listen to. I doubt his solo career is going to go anywhere though. I don't know why I think this. This sucks, eh.
That's bad news considering what the band's gone through lately. But maybe and hopefully it's for the best. Sonny's vocal problems were causing a lot of problems for the band. Hopefully they'll find someone suitable for their singer.
He didn't post the entire article. They're currently recording their new album by themselves, and are going to be fronted by Matt Good.
It's bad news that Sonny left because he saw something that made me listen to From First To Last. It's good to hear they still get to record the album with other vocals, though.
In all honesty, I thought he was the worst part of From First To Last, his voice just seemed a little too whiney. But I wish him and the band all the best in the future.
I think they'd sound better with Matt Good fronting because he seemed to be the only one that could stay in key live. It sucks that they've been through so much trouble in 2006 and maybe now they can get back to touring.
It's weird because I'm wearing a FFTL shirt right now haha. Anyway, yeah, I'm kinda looking forward to hearing Matt front the album.
