'Minutes to Midnight' & New Single Confirmed!

The Linkin Park Underground has confirmed that Linkin Park's long awaited third release, entitled Minutes to Midnight, will be released Tuesday, May 15th in the United States, and Monday, May 14th in all other countries.

The first single is to be released April 2nd, and is titled 'What I've Done.'

"We have put more into the new album than anything we have ever done before," says bassist Dave "Phoenix" Farrell. The band spent over 14 months in the studio and wrote more than 100 song demos in the making of Minutes to Midnight, an album which vocalist Mike Shinoda sees as, "a breakthrough in the development of the band's sound."

An interesting title, compared to the previous ones. I can definetly see this album as being different, hopefully in a good way.

on EXCITED news, the album title is amazing and this album is gonna be awesome, I can feel it

 

yup i knew that blog post had to be legit when it's posted on both blogs. that rules out phishing/hacker. plus why would a phisher post something about an album title and date anyways. that's stupid. usually it's "get a free $500 gift card from abercrombie" or something.

i wonder when we get a tracklist and start speculating on how short/long the album will be lol.

 

I really hope we'll get a tracklist in the next couple of days (or maybe weeks anyway, I'm really wondering about the album art..with an album title like that it got to be good

The title sounds cool, very different though. Too bad the single got pushed back but at least we got the release date and a confirmed date for the single.
