no, its just, EVERYONE is calling it a special edition, when the thermocrome is only on the actual cd. theres been no mention of a special edition version of the cd, and its just a little aggrivating. almost as bad as when people call year zero a double album. its not like its two discs at once. its two seperate releases that are connected. thats not a double album to me. thats just connected work. sorry, i just get bothered by stupid shit like that. psst, dusan. im half russian
I'd consider it a double album. Mezmerize/Hypnotize was a double album, and I think of this as the same thing. Maybe I'm wrong, though.
ehh, personal opinions i guess. just, when i think of double album, i think of like the fragile. two discs under one name. to each their own.
Oh, yeah... well I think of that as a 2disc album. Isn't a double album usually two different albums with different names but still are connected as one? If that makes sense.. It's not a big deal anyway, I guess.
I really hope they do, because i had a lot of fun remixing "Survivalism". I think a lot of bands should do this. I think that remixes to their songs only gives them more exposure.
so i am currently listening to the tardusted remix of survivalism. its very catchy. very hiphop, of course. i also think there really isnt that much of a difference in the instrumental version of the greater good. also, on the german survivalism single, the r in remix, the s and w in saul williams, and the t and b in thavius beck are highlighted. also on the spine of the cd, there are numbers that, if used in the a=1 b=2 pattern, spell out cedcore. so... http://www.cedocore.com/rswtb thats the scientific term for opal. its a cedocore drug, ladies and gents.
I know what you mean, it's just one standard version that's a deluxe package including the 6 page cd booklet (of which i assume is attached to the foldout?) and the 20 page booklet of lyrics, images and what not the thermochrome is an added bonus to the production of the cds that is all.
on saul william's myspace, there's the survivalism opal_heartclinic_niggy_tardust(escape... remix. and on thavius beck's myspace, there's the survivalism tardusted remix. i prefer the tardusted one, meself. yay, nin tracks from the single that are able to be put on myspaces. shawing. 15 days. oh lord.
to tell you the truth the whole concept and the pics of the presence scare me.... survivalism is a hella awesome track though.
yeah when i first got into the story, i was like WTF IS THIS [thanks casey <3] it's scary because, with the exception of t3h uber scary hand stealin ur foodz...i mean, killing you, year zero is happening now. there's a thread on ETS about real life news reports that are following in the trends of the timeline of year zero. it makes me afraid to be able to vote in two years.
ive only listened to the whole thing once but this album is amazing. this is my favorite nin album even after one listen. i was real excited after hearing the first 5 songs that leaked and i wasnt disappointed with the rest of the album. vessel and the great destroyer are amazing tracks imo. im definitely picking this up on the 17th.
As tempting asit is, i'm not going to download this, as waiting to hear it in CD quality as a first listen will be so much more satisfying. ...damn this is hard.
