du any of you guys think that chester should go solo? I think that he shouldn't try to become something he's not. :chaz:
This doesn't go here and it was discussed before that there are plans but nothing solid. Start posting in the right forum.
Although I'd be at Target at 8AM on release day if he ever went solo, I don't think he should. Because if he's busy doing his thing, it won't be good for the band. If Chester is busy writing and recording and touring for his solo stuff, LP might end up with only Mike there to do vocals, or even worse, break up.
I dont think chester should bring out a whole solo album firstly cause it would ruin linkin park and secondly because i think it is far to early to solo i mean i think they should make at least two more albums before any of them decide to do something on their own a sideproject or otherwise, but a colaberation with someone like mike did with the x-ecutioners would be very cool, i think its going down was an amazing song.... i once heard around the same time that came out that chester was supposed to be doing a song with dj lethal called visionaries for his solo album but obviously that was just a rumour or the idea got scrapped oh well it sounded like it would have been cool
How would it ruin Linkin Park? [/b][/quote] Well either chester would get to number 1 and realise hes getting more money solo and never go back to linkin park or he could bring out a terrible record and then everyone would lose faith in him making them lose faith in linkin park also so they wouldnt sell on their next album which would eventually cause them to split or be dropped i dont want that..... but by all means if he did go solo i would support him till the end. im kinda torn i wanna hear him solo.... but i really want to hear more new linkin park stuff a.s.a.p
Dude, have a little more faith. Let's say Chester does blow up with a solo project - you honestly think he'll desert his band mates? Come on now! Let's say Chester's album flops - so what? At least he made an attempt. Plus, I'm sure thousands of LP fans will buy the album just because he's from LP, so there goes at least a few sales. Seriously, be more optimistic on this wonderful band.

Look at Travis from blink 182, he' in blink-182, The Transpants, and Boxcar Racer, two of which I failed to see much airtime in Canada. Linkin Park would be fine. If Chester did well he would most likely try to contribute more on LP so he doesn't lose his friendships with the band members.
How would he go solo? Join/start another band or what? I don't think he would but if he did I don't think it'd matter.
I think it would be awesome if Chester did a solo album! I would buy it. I think most LP fans would as well. Anyone that thinks that Chester would desert the rest of LP are crazy. Why would he do that? Even if his solo album did really well, he still wouldnt.
I wish he wouldn't go solo. I think it's not a rock-band thing to do and it would allow even more selling out comments towards Linkin Park. However, if he ever did make a solo album i'd be the first in line to buy it.
When we had our chat with Sean Dowdell from Chester's old band, grey Daze, he revealed that Chester has been writing alot of dark stuff that doesn't really fit into what him and the rest of Linkin Park are doing and that it's possible he'd make a solo album with Sean and other players. If you want to read up on it, browse through the News forum for a topic named "Possible Solo Album"? or something like that.
I don't think chester should go solo...I mean, sure it may be a great album but i don't think that Chester could make a whole album just with him, you know? it just seems so much more Ying Yang with the rest of the band there....it would upset the *karma*
2 words 2 syllabals HELL NO! why would he want to in the first place. You can never replace Linkin park with another singer.
