According to the Gauntlet, the special editions of 'Minutes to Midnight' will contain bonus, early versions of several tracks, which feature original vocals by Mike Shinoda, as opposed to many of the songs which now only have Shinoda doing backing vocals.

Concerning his vocal absentee-ism on the new record, Shinoda says: "In a lot of cases I did a lot of writing, and then I gave it to Chester and he did a lot of singing, which, I think he's one of the best singers of our generation. So, I really love to hear him sing. I was really happy to have him singing more on this record."

    Thanks to 2xPutt!

I pre-ordered the special edition, so good news for me.

If you gain the special edition, should there be a DVD with it? Just wondering.

Shoot. There isn't a clean version of the special edition is there? If not, I'm really annoyed.

I wouldn't be surprised if I like these better than the actual album songs.

    Full Radio Performances are out...

Was just cruisin' in the Honda and low and behold, the full versions of both Given Up and Bleed It Out have hit the airwaves...YES! They were on 89.7 the River, a college station in Omaha/Council Bluffs, IA.

The full version of Bleed It Out is pretty sick, and Chester's primal scream in Given Up is amazing. I called the DJ and he said he was instructed to play them both this weekend.

Anybody have insight regarding what the 'secret' tracks are from the Itunes pre-order?

When they say vocals, do you think they mean rapping or singing?

Awesome. Now if the iTunes bonus tracks will be good, I'll be in LP heaven... well, not quite 'cause I'm not gettin the superfan, but close!

Chester is good, but not the best of our generation. Dave Ghrol and Anthony Keides would be some of the best IMO.

Some may beg to differ with that statement. While I love both singers equally, I think Chester has a far better voice than Dave Grohl despite the fact the Foo Fighters rock hard.

Maynard from Tool as well if he's considered "our generation." Also, i'm getting annoyed by Mike exaggerating everything these days. Chester one of the best? Hardly.
