    What's the best new band of this year? New as in had their first big-time studio release, not when you found out about them.

    I'll have to say Stacie Oricco. :whistle:



















    Yeah, right. The day I like pop music is the day someone tatoos "I Love Pop Music" on my dead carcass. My favorite new band is Smile Empty Soul. If you have a weak stomach don't listen to Every Sunday. Kinda messed up, but still good! My fav from them is I want my life.

    The Roots have been around for years so that doesn't qualify.

    Shinedown is pretty good.

    But the BEST new band that started this year, I'd say, is Velvet Revolver. Its Stone Temple Pilots meets Guns & Roses. With Slash on guitar and Scott Weiland on vocals. Their latest and only song (so far) Set Me Free is awsome. :D
