Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington was a picture of health at the band's recent video shoot for forthcoming single 'Numb'. The clip was finished in Los Angeles after filming was postponed when the singer was admitted to hospital on May 30, suffering from severe stomach and back pains. "They still don't know what it was, but I lost around 17 pounds in nine days," says Bennington, "I thought I was gonna die. I suddenly lost feeling in my fingers, my arms and then in my legs. Then I went to hospital, where I passed out from pain and I spent the next seven days vomiting." After some time off to recuperate, the band, who began making the video in Prague, relocated to LA's Gothic-styled First Congregational Church to finish it off. "Joe and I wrote this treatment together," he explains, "It's about a girl who's an artist. She has her own hang-ups, but she focuses on her art. It's a constructive situation for her because she's learning, but it's self-destructive because she's turning herself into a shut-in. "I like videos, but if I was in charge they would only have footage of the band," adds Bennington, "There would be no Hollywood stuff at all, but that would probably get very boring!" Linkin Park will release 'Numb' on September 1.
