Videostatic.com has struck once again to confirm another video shoot for a new Linkin Park single, this time being "Shadow of the Day". The Mr. Hahn-helmed video shoot has not taken place yet, but will soon. Source: Video Static Thanks to Hahninator!
Shadow of the Day has seriously grown on me since purchasing the album. I hope the video represents the song well. I can't wait to see it. Bleed It Out sure didn't last long, lol.
It seems pretty early to start filming a new video , considering "Bleed it out" video was released less than a month ago. Perhaps this will be an international single.
that's what I think too. I mean, ok...winter time=soft songs...but... it's just not a type of song you'd release as a single. well, i'm not so sure if this song will be as successful as WID and BIO
Remember when Billboard said that Given Up and SOTD were going to be released as singles? They had them being released on August and October respectively. We all said that two months was a short gap between singles. Looks like the plan hasn't changed much aside from BIO being the second single instead of Given Up. I guess they never planned for the second single to last very long.
Should be a good video as long as they don' try another half forward-half backward confusing ass method of shooting it EDIT: Oh, and Chester can't be awkwardly humping the mic stand.
That was actually unexpected. I was expecting Leave out all the rest as the next single but I do think Shadow of the day is a better song. To everyone who said that was fast with bleed it out juts being released. They could just be shooting the video and are waiting until bleed it out starts to fall of the charts to release it.
lol Doc you're so right So LP Please: Don't use hologram's fighting backwards Chester please don't look like you are humping someone Please make a video with clear, sharp images (unlike BIO) That's just my little wishlist, going to be interresting seeing what they'll come up with
W000T!!! I was so totally hoping for this to eb the next single. Next should be Given Up/No More Sorrow and finish off with Leave Out All The Rest. XD
I'm glad to hear SotD is the next single. Hopefully the music video will be fantastic & Joe will have a great idea up his sleeve. But they have got to release LOATR as a single, even if its the last one off M2M, it'll be a crime not to.
I've always liked the song and I'm glad it's going to be a single, I'd be happy with anything really but this should make for a good video.
Look guys ... this time this video has to be PERFECT ! not in one place with no great shots or without a storyline as we saw in "bleed it out" This time, there should be a storyline for the video, more than one place, beautiful shots, not Mr.Hann the director lol. no really, the lyrics is beautiful and it talks about the relationships and "goodbye" stories so ..... It has to be perfect really ! (by the way Mark, the first line in your topic "the 1st Videostatic link" , it's wrong, it's typed without .com)
I would rather see Given Up, In Pieces or LOATR as a single, but its a good song. This is either gonna go up in flames or it'll be an unexpected success. See, Bleed It Out and What I've Done both were sort of old LP style, whereas this is completely stepping outside of the box. We'll see. Not bashing the song, as I love the song very much. Just I think its not as good of a choice for a single. If they were going to do a softer single, LOATR was a better choice.
The video got no airplay over here as far as I can tell. I have MTV/Fuse and I barely saw it on here. And my god, I might just write Joe with my idea for Shadow of The Day, this song means a lot to me.
OH i dont like the choice mostly because that means that In Pieces wont be realsed as a single and that is my fav soft song from LP i realy wanted to see a video for that song but i guess that wont happen
I love how many people do not embrace this song because it's nothing like old Linkin Park. The fact its NOT Linkin Park is what makes this song so amazing. It's going to blow away a lot of people who were used to the 'I'VE BECOME SO NUMB!!1!!1" Linkin Park, as this song is not only a mature step instrumentally but lyrically and vocally as well. Great choice LP. I applaud you guys for taking such a risk.
