I just hope it's a great video because Shadow Of The Day is a song worthy of an epic kind of video. LP's videos havn't been too great recently if I'm honest (WID and BIO were very average if you ask me), so I'm hoping this vid will make up for that.
Saw this coming such a long time ago. Just thought I'd post to give myself the satisfaction of remembering I'd called this...along with a million other people. As far as the video goes, I dunno. It could be something dark - black and white, that finishes in color, but that's been done before.
Ahh.. thats cool But i really wanted Leave out all the rest. I love the way chester sings in that song. I was also thinking Given Up would have been the next single. Good choice either way.
im sensing LOATR will be a North American Single and HHH will be a world single after shadow o the day. Each will have videos respectively. my prediction on next videos. I really want there to an HHH video, i have the greatest idea for it.
F*CK YEAH!! finally all those SOTD haters can kiss my A*S! Definitely fav song on MTM and wanted this to be the second single. but now it is the third...FINALLY!
I'm quite happy to hear this. "Shadow of the Day" is an excellent choice as the 3rd single off of MTM.
actually i saw Bleed it out video alot. i got Mtv Hit, Melody hits, Mtv europe .... they showed this video so many times ?! it's just about time, like what happened with me actually for WID, i was waiting for 1 channel to air this clip, now .... i'm sick of watching it lol
i saw bleed it out on fuse enough times. mtv, not so much. but they dont play any other music videos either. lol.
Yeah. I saw "Bleed it Out" on MTV one time. But on FUSE, I saw it at least 30 times. Maybe that's exaggerating but I watch FUSE a lot now that I've got it.
I have a feeling that SotD will be a slow burner on the charts. It's just the kinda song that slowly grows on you. I hope it does really well though. I really didn't like it at all when I first heard it, but now I absolutely love it. I hope the video does it justice.
I think Linkin Park/Warner Brothers are looking at the single releases as being sort of like the following: What I've Done = Numb/In The End - ubiquitous, friendly to both rock radio and Top 40 radio, with a video that's easily played on MTV/Fuse/Vh1/et al Bleed It Out = Faint/One Step Closer - fan favorite that doesn't necessarily tear up the charts but has a video, is officially a single, and resides solely on rock radio Shadow of the Day = Breaking the Habit - artistic, eye-catching video (hopefully) with a song that just dominates airplay over a long period of time. I think they'll do a video for The Little Things Give You Away, but I don't think it will do well on the radio. It's too long of a song for radio airplay, even though it is a tremendous one. I think Leave Out All The Rest, Given Up, and In Pieces are also great songs, but not "single" worthy. I bet they pull Given Up as a rock radio single and do a live video for it.
this decision shows what path they are truly going for they are going for a pop/rock U2 style band everything i loved about the band is just fading away it makes me wonder if their old material was real or just a pose
It doesn't have to be 3-4 singles off the album like Hybrid Theory. Meteora had 5-6 singles (Somewhere I Belong, Faint, Numb, From The Inside, Breaking The Habit and Lying From You). From The Inside was a US single (I think) and Lying From You is a radio single. I like the old Linkin Park, but the new Linkin Park also kicks ass. What I had just said above, I've answered this. And Shadow of The Day; hell yes. A good choice.
