For those of you who are currently unaware, DJ Joseph Hahn recently finished directing a music video for Linkin Park's newest single "Shadow of The Day," which is expected to debut sometime later this month. Should you wish to get a sneak peek of this latest video, you can now head on over to Joseph Hahn's official SlamXHype blog to see a screencap of the video in action. Looks like we're in for another hit from the brilliant Mr. Hahn! You can also view a picture of the set here. In addition, a short video clip of the shoot has been posted on Known Gallery/The Seventh Letter's blog, here. Thanks to murphylp and handthatfeeds_25 for the news!
+1 just this one screen cap makes me believe it's more "movie-like" as Mr. Hahn is well known for. hopefully this blows away any video they have ever created. looks very promising.
Remind me to never post news at work using a proxy ever again. I've had to do so much html reformatting in this news post it was ridiculous. Feel free to rewrite my post Mark or Astat =).
It's kind of what I imaged. city life, but I picture the quality/color to be more like "From The Inside". kind of grayish and dirty. what I get from this video already is I'm assuming someone died in this car explosion; and before anyone says "well ya think??"; it could have been a random car explosion,
I thought for a second they renamed the song 'Shadow of the Blog' And the Shadow of the Blog Will embrace the... pigs and hogs? Okay, I just thought it'd be funny.
wow..i so cant wait for this! That screen cap excites me, lol..totally not LP-like in my opinion, lol. Mr. Hahn shows his true skills in this video than he did for "Bleed it Out".
whoohoo. that pic looks good. i think this video will be awesome. looks better then bleed it out anyway. even though i have kinda grown on that video cant wait
Ooooooo... Looks like a very impressive video. Nothing what I expected (something like What I've done, but near a lake during a sunset - but he probably thought that was too predictable). From the looks of the Screen cap, I'd have expected it to be on a song like No more sorrow. I'm interested to see how it works with SotD.
Eh, it wasn't really bad, I just fixed a couple little things to make it a little more coherent. This video looks like it has some good potential.
The still frame of the car burning and the overall "bleakness" of that frame leads me to believe that "Shadow of the Day" will be about an apocalyptic scenario. It fits the lyrics, it's metaphorical, and it fits the album concept. If I'm right, then....SWEET!
Wanna see a little preview of the video ? http://www.knowngallery.com/blog/post/tsl-x-suru-x-dcma-linkin-park
I hope that this video is going to be as huge as From The Inside that is still one of my favorites. It is interesting how an explosion will work with such a soft song. Please Mr Hahn, show us some skills. I am really looking forward to a real video since Bleed It Out that was decent, but not that impressive as their usual work back in the Meteora days.
The only way i can see that explosion working is if it's done in slow mo, so it looks more dramatic, maybe?
