    Linkin Park racked up three nominations for this year's American Music Awards for following categories listed below:

    Best Pop/Rock Band, Duo or Group
    Linkin Park
    Maroon 5
    Nickleback

    Best Pop/Rock Album
    "Daughtry" - Daughtry
    "Minutes To Midnight" - Linkin Park
    "FutureSex/LoveSounds" - Justin Timberlake

    Best Alternative Artist
    Linkin Park
    My Chemical Romance
    White Stripes

    For the first time, the viewing public will be able to vote for their favorite nominated artists online to choose the winner. Jimmy Kimmel will host the event and it will air on Sunday, November 18th, on ABC.

    Out of all of them, I think LP is at LEAST guaranteed to win Best Pop/Rock Band, Duo or Group. *Touches wood*
    But I think best album will be won by Justin Timberlake (even though I hope he doesn't!)

    i don't understand how you can put pop music and rock music in the same category, why not have two categories? I mean, Justin Timberlake vs Linkin Park, wth?

    I think they have a good chance of winning best group or alternative. Best
    album looks iffy since they're competing with Mr. Timberlake.
