    I said hardly. ;)

They played Ozzfest and toured with SOAD and of course played Summer Sanitarium but other than that I can't think of any hard rock bands they've played with. Hell even SOAD aren't that hard. I don't think festivals other than Ozzfest would count either because with festivals like Download and Rock Am Ring it's a mixture of rock, metal, punk, indie and alternative. To be honest I'd never have thought LP would have ever played Ozzfest, but then again at the time the band were only starting to gain commercial success. There'd be a full scale riot if they were ever added to the bill at Ozzfest again.

I stand by my earlier statement that I don't believe LP are or ever were Metal (unless 'Nu-Metal' counts). Some of their songs like One Step Closer, Don't Stay etc. are harder than others but that doesn't mean they're metal at all. Metallica released a live album with an entire orchestra playing backing music to their songs but you certainly wouldn't call them classical now would you.

+1 While they have some elements to the band and certain songs that you
MAY call metal (like No More Sorrow), they're not a full-fledged "metal" band.
Just like their not a hip-hop group for having rap songs.

Just wanted to correct some people. The producers are COOL AND DRE, not Dr. Dre. Look it up.

And yes, are there any pictures/vids/audios of d12 with LP on projekt rev?

None that I've ever found. I just know it was the Detroit PR2002 date and they came out on One Step Closer.

I agree with Hellflame,LP never ment to be one of the "full-metal-long-haired-head-banging" groups, but it seems like people want them to be.They have made it clear from their 1st album that they want to work with diferent styles of music, and yet people think their change at MTM is "completely strange"...I never saw anyone complain for not having any ballants on their previous records (except BTH),but now everyone complains about MTM having too many of them.

As for the Busta Rhymes thing,i hope it turns out to be as good as their previous works with rappers ;)

I agree. Moreover, I really don't like the idea of LP collaborating with mainstream rapper(s).

What's everyone's problem with LP collaborating with Hip-Hop artists?

You guys need to realise that even though LP have evolved their style, Hip-Hop is still one of the major styles of music they enbed into their music. Even if there's absolutely no rapping at all on the next album, there'll still be Hip-Hop elements etc.

    Agreed.

I find it kind of odd that people were so worked up about Linkin Park removing a noticeable deal of their hip-hop element from their sound in Minutes to Midnight, and now people don't want them touching it. The fact is that the hip-hop embedded in their sound is a huge part of their success, and is a major musical inspiration for some, if not all, of the band members.

If they want to do collaborations with other hip-hop artists, that shouldn't be a big deal. I think it's good that they are doing collaborations. It's a great example of Linkin Park's diversity and versatility with music. I never really was a fan of Busta Rhymes, but hey, it could be good. Give it a chance. There's no harm done in collaborating.

If they're gonna do this I wish it would be with someone like Lupe, not a huge Busta fan

The reason I want to hear this track so bad is because of what it's about it, making it and not making it. I can't wait for it to come out.

That's a shame, I really would have liked to have heard how that sounded...
