Now this is the epitome of Rock and Roll!

Despite breaking his arm early in Linkin Park's set in Melbourne, Australia last night (Oct. 15), Chester managed to finish the entire concert before heading to the hospital.

Chester suffered the break while attempting his trademark monkey jump from high atop Linkin Park's stage when his foot got caught in the stairs and sent him plummeting backwards, falling awkwardly on his arm.

The injury, which occurred around the third or fourth song of the set, did not deter Chester from performing onwards and finishing the concert for his adorning fans, despite severe swelling and excruciating pain (which undoubtedly lent more power to his screams).

Fans in attendance were aware of the injury and were highly appreciative of Chester's perseverance and selflessness.

As they say in the entertainment industry: the show must go on.

Remaining dates will go ahead as scheduled.

Video footage about the accident, including Chester receiving first aid behind the set and performing with a limp arm in tow, is at LinkinPark.com

    Thanks to danielpsoad-09!

    Just watched the video,
It's hilarious how he was all just...'meh' about the whole situation during the show.

They already played the Adelaide show after this happened, not to mention that Mike posted about it on both LPU and the Fort Minor Myspace blog stating that nothing's being cancelled. Of course the shows are still going on.

I don't usually post here but I had to log on and say something about this:

Chester u fukin ROCK. The fact that he would get up and finish the song let alone the entire show is amazing. Picture having to play Pushing me away, BTH, and the other slower songs with that injury. He put his fans over his own well-being, that just goes to show how dedicated he is as a performer and how humble he is towards the fans.

I met him in August and it wasn't one of the greatest experienced ever, the dude actually took time out to shake my hand and speak with me briefly on his way to the back of the stage. A lot of celebrities are just complete a-holes, but hes just the coolest dude ever.

I know this post sounds homerish, but oh well I just have a lot of respect for that man

Wow, I can't even express how amazing that is.

Way to go Chester. Seriously, keeping the show going after that? Breaking a wrist hurts like all hell and you kept the show going. Way to go. That is fucking rock and roll. Seriously.

My already high respect for Chester has just sky-rocketed. That is amazing.

And people say Velvet Revolver are the only true rock and roll band left.
This is gonna make me appreciate the concert this weekend so much more.

That made me think of Travis Barker who broke his forearm and also continued the whole show.

    Hope you get better Chester.

He had already played a few songs so he was warmed up and "only felt pain" in his arm but after the show I suppose it did hurt a bit more

    I'll add it in.

Guys, why would a broken arm that has been tended to with a cast prevent Chester from performing a musical concert? Think logically!

    *sigh*

    *wipes sweat off brow*

Best thing I've heard all day.

Because they told him to keep it still. And considering the way he moves about the stage, there's a slight chance that he'll hurt himself again. So here's hoping that he doesn't. >_<

That's still illogical. Why cancel a bloody concert when all Chester has to do is be less active on stage? The latter seems like a sensible thing to do.

I'd understand if this was a contact sport, but the man's standing on stage and singing.
