Now, Coldplay is real music. I love that CD Parachutes.

Okay let me rephrase that: I can fall asleep listening to their music. Sometimes that's not a bad thing.

 

That's definitely your opinion; I highly disagree because I can fall asleep to Linkin Park as well.

I love Coldplay and they are not pop-rock in my opinion, whatever the hell that is...please explain.

They're just a mellow band that's nothing like these other wack bands out today. Coldplay is awesome - truly talented.

 

i personally find coldplay to be very boring. my little 11 year old sister sometimes listens to them and it just makes me want to play some mudvayne or something

 

I dont like them. I find them very very boring.

 

I find them boring and a lot of their songs sound similar. When Parachutes was out, i thought they were okay then it just started to bore me and sounded the same and i didn't really like a "Rush of blood to the head". I can stand to listen to them, it's not like if they come on the radio i'll immediately turn off the radio, i might do that halfway through though

 

Eh everyone's entitled to an opinion. My opinion is that they're great and their songs have meaning. So what if their songs are similar? They're not the only band like that.

And just to clear up the falling asleep thing, I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep. That's when I listen to Coldplay. Although I can listen to other bands and fall asleep too, Coldplay works the best.

I think theyre a great band.

 

I like Coldplay (Parachutes is an awesome album) but I don't think they're the best of British music. Their songs are mellow and soothing which is good if you want to relax or fall asleep. They're not my favorite but they've got talent.

PS - they're not pop-rock. Most people say they're "indie".

Coldplay is a good band. I got a copy of the A Rush Of Blood To The Head. The title track is good and so is some of the other songs like, Clocks, The Scientist, In My Place and God Put A Smile Upon Your Face. I heard the next single and video is God Put A Smile Upon Your Face.

 

Indie is a short term for independent--bands that have no label.
