Singles-wise, "Bleed It Out" and "What I've Done" continued to fall down their respective charts. The only bright spot this week was a three spot jump by "Shadow of the Day" to #14 on the Modern Rock charts.
ya but look at nickelback, already 7x platinum with their most recent effort. oh well i still think linkin park is doing well and hopefully sotd boosts sales somewhat.
Yes, considering how Nickelback's most recent album was released in July 2005 which so happens to be almost worth two years of a gradual buildup of copies sold out compare to Minutes To Midnight which hasn't even been a year yet. Not to mention that the sales must have still dropped down somewhat over these two years.
That, and Nickelback is generic Wal-Mart rock that's going to appeal to a broader range of people than a non nu-metal Linkin Park.
Minutes to Midnight is a little less than 200K from going 2x platinum. It will more than likely atleast reach 3x platinum.
