Todd, I love you sometimes you know XD. I really do like coldplay, and Chrissy I know exactly what you mean when you said you can fall asleep to them. I can't go to sleep without listening to any sort of music anymore :\ I think that the newest tracks that are on AROBTTH are a lot better than what was on Parachutes. God put a smile upon my face has to be my song of the moment. Who you like/dislike should be your opinion and your opinion alone.

Basically it's the ultimate laughing smiley. Think "South Park" And I'm actually listening to the Parachutes album now. It's pretty distinct the change of music from this album to AROBTTH
For some reason, I just fell in "love" with them today. I've liked them ever since I heard "The Scientist" and the video also(a long time ago) but I just didn't like them as much as I do now. I think their style is pretty unique like every band's like.
I really enjoy Coldplay. Sure they are mellow, but they make great music! Its just that it is so accessible to the mainstream audience that everyone likes them and I hear them being played on the stations my mom listens to. It may not be as intense as LP or other rock, but that shouldn't mean that they're boring. They make some catchy songs! And the video for 'The Scientist' rules, it won a VMA
Most of you guys are crazy. You'd rather listen to heavy metal than Coldplay? Coldplay is real music. Heavy metal makes no sense.
I really like Coldplay. They're one of my favorite bands. At first, I thought they were boring but when I listened to their album.. I was surprised and amazed.. There's just something unique with their band.. and the way they write the lyrics and make their songs.. and to wth>you.. you seem to belittle heavy metal.. don't do that here.. because it is not the right place to do such.. we have our different choice of what kind of rock we want to listen to.. If you like alternative rock.. then go listen to it.. if someone here likes heavy metal and you do not like it.. you shouldn't preach on what we should listen..
I won't say they suck but i really can't stand them. You can't say they are not a good band but they are too mellow for my taste. I need heavy rock :chaz: B)
