Linkin Park Voted 6th Greatest Band Of All Time

    On a recent countdown on MTV2 called "22 Greatest Bands of All Time", Linkin Park were voted the sixth greatest band in the 20 years of MTV's history by viewers. LP placed with other MTV-veterans such as Nirvana (#1), Metallica (#2) and other bands such as Aerosmith, U2, No Doubt, R.E.M, Korn, Van Halen and more. Viewers were allowed to cast their votes on MTV.com and write in with their nominations. Congratulations to Linkin Park from everyone here at the LPA!

    wow that's great. I really do think that they deserve their spot -- they're an amazingly unique band and their music is astounding. W00t LP!

    this isnt very acurate (its MTV, they lie) if it were Rolling Stone or something i'd believe it. its still cool.

    yes, mtv would be bias when it came to sorting out 1-22, there no way people would for vote for the likes of R.E.M, The Smiths, and NSYNC over limpbizkit, who came in 20th, or so i heard. mtv woul alter it to their likeings, and seeing MTV dont like limp so much anymore, they would put them down to act cool ^_^

    congrats to LP tho :D

    it's in the 20 year history of MTV. if it went back past 1983 then the beatles, the stones, the who and many other bands would of made the list. but it's in the history of 20 years of mtv.
