After reading people say there kids love the song and how mags are saying it's too light and is pop. Do you feel Numb is pop? Not POPular but the NSYNC type pop.
it will be classed as pop/rock cuz its a slowish song, with not very heavy riffs, but u tell me a pop song with lyrics like that, numb dosnt go 'everythings to happy with flowers so dance around in circles!'
I'm going to move this to the Meteora forum since it has to do with a Meteora song :chemist:. I don't think "Numb" is a pop song--but I've been known to be wrong .
I mean really think about it. If In The End can make it on Kidz Bop, why not Numb? In The End is more heavier than Numb. I just don't know.
Linkin Park never claimed to be an In Your Face - Death Metal band. They should be able to have a slower rock song without it being called pop.
No. Numb is not pop because they are not falling into the commercial beat and lyrics. This is just a slower song than the rest of the album, and each band once had one.
It strikes me as odd that a rock band can't have a slow, mellow song without people calling it 'pop'. Some people obviously don't know what they're talking about.
Couldn't have said it better myself. There's some people who are really quick to assume Linkin Park have gone soft or that they have gone pop just because they released ONE soft song. Jeez..give me a break.
Sup. I voted 'No' based on the fact that I have listend to my fair share of pop music (and still do sigh) and I know for a fact that they are not pop music like N Sync. I don't even know what you would label Linkin Park anyway, so I just say, 'suff like Linkin Park' when I describe what I listen to.
I said NO. Just because Numb has real emotion to it does not mean it is pop. If all the crappy pop worshippers like it fair enough but it is certainaly not a pop song, it's just very emotional an catchy
Numb is not considered pop. It is similiar to pushing me away and was that considered pop??? I dont think so.....
