Hey everyone, my band (Drywall Therapy) just released our first EP. I thought I would post about it here in the 'Other Music' section in hopes some of you might check it out. What I love about the LPA is that there are so many members that are open to various new types of music.

As for what we sound like...we draw our influences from a lot of different artists such as LP, The Postal Service, Armin Van Buren, and many others. I guess you could say LP is the more prominent influence, but we are truly trying to develop our own sound.

Since this EP is our first release ever, we like to think of it as our first step towards creating our own sound. So yeah, you can listen to most of our tracks at our myspace:

Check it out and let me know what you think if you have a chance! :)

Sorry, but I'm going to have to be honest.

This is fucking amazing. Great job! I love the synths, the beats are very infectious, and the guitar is a nice touch.

And I'm glad you didn't take the overly long intro-outro formula from Armin Van Buren. Getting straight to the meat (which I would presume to be LP influence), which sounds great.

If I hadn't spent all my money on iTunes, I'd definitely buy this. Great stuff.

Wow for an band that's just starting out you guys seriously are not that bad. I'm pleasantly surprised. I went in expecting 'oh god another amateur myspace band, this is going to make my ears bleed', but you're actually rather creative.

In all honesty, I'm not quite sure of the vocals...but I think the instrumentation is rather spectacular. You guys could have a future if you practice =).

    Nice work =)

He said what I didn't want to say... vocals are kinda average. Instrumentation is badass though.

I know. I'm not dissing the vocalist persay, I'm just saying there's some pitch issues, that vocal lessons could probably solve. He still sings better than I can though.

The instrumentation is very good for a new band. I am surprised.

I'd have to agree with Derek. The music is great, and you guys definiteley have a future, in my opinion. The lyrics were a bit off, slightly sharp maybe? But they still sounded really good nonetheless.

Overall, I'm really impressed. Good luck! ^_^

Wow man these songs are really heartfelt! I'm enjoying them! But I think the mixing of vocals could've been better. Other than that, this is good stuff! Good luck with your upcoming projects :).

Excellent work! Seriously, I'm so glad to see a band like yours. The fact that the vocals aren't that great isn't a big problem really, considering the music more than makes up for it. Besides, it shows that you guys are actually human, and you do have flaws. I think my favorite song overall was Neutral Warfare.
I hope everything goes well for you guys. :D

Not bad at all. Vocals are a little rough around the edges, not to say that can't be fixed fairly easily though.

Reminds me of Kenna's first record.

    Not half bad.
