I can think of no geekier way for me to express my support of the best presidential candidate since Kennedy.
I fully support a Obama/Richardson ticket. To have the first Latino Vice President and the first Black President would be a one-two punch that would knock out McCain in the general election this November. It would be a true Democratic dream ticket.
I don't think Barack Obama is going to have any problems defeating John McCain no matter who his running mate is. Right now he's got to worry about defeating someone who's supposedly on his side of the aisle to begin with (Hillary Clinton, as in the fact that they are both Democrats). After that he can worry about crushing McCain. Personally I'd like to see John Edwards as Obama's running mate, but that is just me.

Looks like they're going to step in and tell Hillary it's over and that she needs to step down for the good of the party. It's becoming a greed thing now and Hillary/Bill are creating whatever lies they can to win the nomination. It's about time the DNC does something about this.
Which is why what I think they mean by 'it will be done', is that they're going to force Hillary to withdraw from the race.
but the thing is that they shouldn't have to force her to withdraw. She should be smart enough to realize she's hurting the party but shes too damn stubborn to just call it quits.
Coming from a country that has a two party-one leader each system, it seems ridiculous that you would attack someone from your own party in a push to win the cantidancy(sp?). Just put forward a case for yourself being the bees knees I reckon. Obviously this would be in an ideal world with Israel & Palestine trading floral patterned gifts and Osama Bin Laden sipping tea after retiring from a long career in retail.
They wouldn't. There's a record number of people in PA who switched to Democrat just to vote for Barack, and Barack is currently leading in the popular vote, the amount of states won, as well as the delegate count. Despite the Clinton camp's delusions to the contrary, it is not a close race AT ALL and statistically (even if Hill wins PA) it is literally impossible for her to clinch the nomination, even with the greatest of luck. One of her own aides even was rumored to have said she only has a 5% chance of taking it, meaning she's just tearing the party apart at this moment. Overturning the will of the Democratic American people (which is overwhelmingly in support of Barack at the moment it seems) would permanently disenfranchise young voters and basically guarantee that a Democrat won't be in office for a very long time. The DNC isn't stupid. They know what they're doing.
After the democrats lost to Bush twice it makes you wonder though <_<. But in all seriousness, I was just joking around up there. On another topic: when do the primaries actually end? And when does the final election take place?
The convention that decides the Democratic candidate is supposed to be in August. The latest Primary takes place in June. Usually its cut and dry before then as to who gets the nomination, but due to the fact there was a debacle with MI, and FL it really fudged things up and it's unlikely either candidate will have the 2,025 delegates needed to automatically win the nod by the time the convention rolls around. That's why there is such a mess lately with deciding who will get the nomination. MI and FL really put a hamper on things.
