Chris Cornell's solo material isn't very good, imo. I'd give this a listen out of sheer curiosity, though. At least for a good laugh.
I'm gonna hold back a little bit. Chris' solo stuff is amazing, Im just slightly unsure about whether Timbaland will help or hinder this next effort. :/
I'm a huge Chris Cornell fan. I think it would be interesting to see what it comes out like. But I can't see Chris going R&B it just wouldn't sound right.
This. Is. Going. To. Blow. Timbaland finds some way to screw anything good, and make it bad. No offense to those who appreciate his work, though.
As long as he doesn't perform any vocals there is an off chance this could be good. Although, it would be funny if he did with lyrics written by Cornell.
I love how everybody has gotten so negative on this board. Don't even know why I bother with the comments.
I personally think Timbaland is exposing himself too much... The Timbaland sound is popping up everywhere and it's starting to saturate the music scene.
It's destroying the music scene. He's got his foot in every door that he possibly can put it in, and it's like using massively expensive cologne that stinks. You're not getting anything done. You're just making it that much harder for everyone to breathe.
this is a little far out ... but i'll wait and see what happens. should be interesting, at the very least.
On listening to the whole interview I have to say I'm pretty excited about this. Cornell and Timbaland seemed genuinely thrilled about this album saying it's the best work of their career and all that jazz. Might be a load of bollocks but who knows. Timbaland's mixing it at the moment and he said it wouldn't be too long before it hits shelves. I just want some new Cornell shizat.
I couldn't have said it better. From now on, when I want to say something, I'll just wait on you to post it.
