It's just that putting it right after Inconsolable just feels weird to me. By itself, it's fine. I like a lot of the songs, but I guess they just don't seem as significant to me as Never Gone was. I love the instrumentation to Everything But Mine. So danceable.
*Hides* Sorry Their latest is better than their previous attempt, which imo, was all a bit wishy washy. I just love Treat Me Right, Unmistakable and Panic, which conveniently are on their live setlist for the tour 8D *Runs away* Unfortunately no Get Another Boyfriend Though (<<< Fav BSB song EVER)
I guess it varies with different people. I loved Never Gone so much. Maybe I just need to let Unbreakable grow on me. Or maybe I can't get over the fact that Kevin left.
I wasn't too big a fan of Never Gone personally. Then again none of their records are ever going to hold a candle to Black & Blue.
It does suck that he's gone, but, they're just as good as four piece imo. He was never a strong vocalist in my eyes, as much as he was a part of the band
I love how in live shows though, Nick plays guitar. It amazed me when I found that all the guys can actually play instruments. I never knew that until I saw Nick playing guitar for one of the Never Gone songs live on youtube. EDIT: And in my eyes, Kevin is NEVER GONE. Haha, nevermind.
I sort of disagree. I think Kevin was one of the most important facets of the Backstreet Boys. Though I guess Howie can't complain since now he performs all of Kevin's parts when they're performing live. I watched a concert of theirs several years ago (before Black & Blue came out) where they all play an instrument. The only one I can remember for sure was Nick playing the drums. It was awesome.
Nick apparently does his own drum solo on this live tour at the moment O_O I had no idea they played instruments, and that made them gain my respect even more. Unlike some boybands who just sing and look 'good', they actually appear to have some instrumental as well as vocal talent, and I love that.
Well, on Nick's first solo album (I think he's got two; correct me if I'm wrong) he plays most of the instruments himself. I know he at least drums on a couple tracks and plays guitar on almost all of them as well.
Does he? Wow, that's fantastic. Never heard any of their solo stuff personally, but that's cool to hear
I'm pretty sure anyway. I've never owned Nick's solo records so I couldn't say for sure. It's awesome that he's got a drum solo on their new tour though. Really awesome.
NKOTB all the way and they are doing a reunion thing. Not that I am at all interested in them anymore and I liked them like 15 years ago, but I even had New Kids bed sheets. LOL
I use to like BSB and O-Town, but I never really fell in love with any boy band. I liked a select few songs from them but never had bought an album or anything. The radio was my source of music anyway. EDIT: 98 degrees I listened too somewhat too, and really enjoyed.
I used to love N*Sync and The Backstreet Boys, but now it's interesting to see where they all are. The Backstreet Boys have managed to stay together and make new music but they've changed. Justin Timberlake has probably made more money on his own than all of the Backstreet Boys combined now Also, what do you guys think about Hanson? They're like an indie band now or something. I've heard their most recent album is pretty good.
From what I remember it was a flop. But I'm going to check it out in a few, so I'll come back with opinions.
Seconded. Although they did engineer their songs to be very catchy, and many have remained (for better or worse) somewhere in my noggin. The closest I went to boy bands was Limp Bizkit and Sugar Ray (who had one great CD, though).
