In the far future, do you think this is possible? Technically possible? Not Possible at all? Never will be possible? Would it be a good or bad thing? How and why? Discuss!
We wouldn't know if they never told us, and if someone did tell you that they were from the future would you believe them?
I can only see travelling to future any time soon, and that's only in a form of traveling at almost the speed of light in space and then coming back to Earth. But even that seems too much unreal at the moment.
I wouldn't believe them, I just wouldn't. It's impossible in my mind. And IF it was possible then it's weird that in all these centuries noone ever found out. If you'd travel the speed of light, you'd burn yourself.
It would only be possible to travel back in time, to another time period where time travel already exists. Say if someone managed to do it in the year 2010 then that would end up being year zero in terms of time travel. But, it'd also mean that from that year you'd only be able to travel into the future and not the past. Overall though, I'd say it's pretty unlikely that the type of time travel you see in films will ever be possible. I think it'll only happen in the form of time dilation (where time passes more slowly for someone travelling really fast).
Well, Before you make a Time machine... Have you ever wondered if the actual concept of 'Time' Was never created? Hence, you can't go forward or backwards in our perception of time. However, If we could, those assholes better show us how to make space ships and they better be 100-foot native americans too. Or Mayans, that works.
I don't believe in time travel but I believe in all its concepts, which may or may not make any sense. No one would ever be able to travel into the future though. It hasn't happened yet. You'd only be able to travel into the past.
I believe the opposite is actually more likely to be true Will: that we could travel to the future more likely than the past. As your speed increased, time effects you more slowly. This has been proven. Therefore, if we were to go into outer space, travel really fast away from and then back to the earth, then time would have effected us more slowly and we would be in the future upon our return to earth.
I'm pretty sure it won't be widespread or even have been discovered in my lifetime because, the first time I saw Back To The Future, I promised myself that I would go back in time and visit myself there and then if possible and it didn't happen.
As far as traveling to the past, I believe we could only likely travel to a period where the first time machine was made, no earlier. This sets more limitations (as in, travel to the past right now is impossible, as no machines exist).
It's possible to travel to a point where you can see the past, not change it, just see it, and that's it. Time travel can't happen, because time isn't a physical thing.
I know. We talked about that in my physics class in high school. I was just being a smart ass because I had nothing else to say.
i don't know, it's complicated, if you go in the past you change the future and everyone in the future don't know you changed it only you know and i don't thing it's possible
