Gotta agree with that, not a single bad song on that album. One of the best rap records I've ever heard.
Creature Feature - The Greatest Show Unearthed To me, this album is very solid. I haven't heard a solid album like this in a long time. And when it was released I sat there and listened. I was sucked in by the first track, The Greatest Show Unearthed, which opens like an opening of a carnival or circus. The sound was so different and it was beautifully well produced. I certainly recommend it.
Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle I'm going to say this is THE perfect party record. Every song is timeless and infectious. So many classics. Snoop's flow on Dre's production is untouchable here. Gems you may have missed: "Gz and Hustlas", "The Shiznit" Dr. Dre - The Chronic 2001 Many of you are likely familiar with this album. Probably for a reason. Must listens (non-single): "What's the Difference", "The Watcher" Deltron 3030 (self-titled) If you listen to hip-hop and haven't listened to this, do yourself a favor and listen to it. Even if you aren't a fan of the genre, you are more than likely to find tracks you enjoy. I consider this the most slept on album of all time. The production is pure genius with a theme set in the future. Every track thinks outside the box. Try: "3030" and "Mastermind".
This is one of my favourite albums of all time. I was thinking of making some kind of list and including this but for whatever reason I didn't even make an individual post for it. If you're one of those "all hip-hop sucks" people and this album doesn't change your mind, nothing will.
OH MY GOD YES. YES YES YES. This is easily Stone Sour's mark on music. Opens with a blast of raw energy and at the end, leaves you wanting more. ...unless you got the special edition! =D If you did, good- it not only brings a sort of closure to the album, but its b-sides/"rejects" are excellent as well. Another: Rise Against - The Sufferer and the Witness The. Best. Melodic. Hardcore. Album. EVER. A quick tip: listen to Siren Song of the Counter Culture first- you'll be disappointed by that excellent album if you listen to Sufferer first. TSatW has no bad songs. None. Absolute perfection, from Chamber the Cartridge to Survive and everything in between.
Just to name a few. Zao - Parade of Chaos, Liberate Te Ex Inferis Slipknot Vol. 3 - The Subliminal Verses As I lay Dying, Frail Words Collaspe Greenday - American Idiot Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory EP Demon Hunter - Storm The Gates of Hell Blink 182 - Blink 182 Ellegarden - Pepperoni Quattro Fort Minor - The Rising Tide Three Days Grace - Three Days Grace Avril Lavigne - Let Go, Under My Skin (All the rest is shit IMO) Killswitch Engage - Alive Or Just Breathing
Saosin's Translating The Name & Saosin The Receiving End of Siren's Between the Heart and the Synapse Circa Survive's Juturna & On Letting Go The Sound of Animals Fighting's Tiger and The Duke The Bled's Pass The Flask & Silent Treatment Thrice's The Illusion of Safety, The Artist in the Ambulance, Vheissu, & The Alchemy Index At The Drive-In's Relationship of Command
Saosin - Translating The Name EP This is still to date, my favorite CD of all time. Each track is loaded with amazing Lyrics and Vocals, The Guitars Stay busy and the drums are sweet as hell. Circa Survive -On Letting Go I Can listen to this album When i'm down or just Calm, and each song flows amazing. Brendan and Colin Melt their guitars together and it sounds awesome. theres just 2 of many albums for me
My Chemical Romance- The Black Parade On of my favourite albums of all time, I just think that it is a masterpiece. The music is incredible, there is never a bad moment (except for the minute and a half of silence before Blood), and the story itself is interesting. I love every song on this CD, and it is really a step up from Three Cheers. Favourite Songs: Mama, Cancer, Sleep, Welcome To The Black Parade, The End, Dead, Teenagers, Blood. Muse- Absolution Absolution is not my favourite Muse album (Origin of Symmetry is), but it is probably Muse's most consistent release. The only bad song here is Intro, but im not going to count that. This is an album that I can listen all the way through and not get bored. Every song is different and interesting, and the whole thing just works well as an album. Favourite Songs: Time Is Running Out, Stockholme Syndrome, Falling Away With You, Hysteria, The Small Print. There are more, but ill post them later maybe.
Polkadot Cadaver - Purgatory Dance Party From Todd Smith and Jasan Stepp of Dog Fashion Disco comes the rebirth of the band, but with a different name. This album is so full of energy, it's intense. If you like music with a lot of energy, this is for you. Favorite Songs: Chloroform Girl, Pure Bedlam For Halfbreeds, Purgatory Dance Party, A Wolf In Jesus Skin, Bring Me the Head of Andy Warhol, and Phantom Limb
Death Cab For Cutie - Transatlanticism This is one of my favorite albums to listen to when I'm in a more relaxed mood. Ben Gibbard has become one of my favorite lyricists in recent years, and while some might say his writing is too literal, I think it's a nice change of pace to not have your songs buried with a ton metaphors. Solid production and good songwriting make it the perfect choice for anyone who likes catchy pop songs. Converge - Jane Doe This album couldn't be any more on the opposite end of the musical spectrum, when compared to Death Cab. It has all the subtlety of a hammer to the face. I'm convinced 90% of the people who would try listening to this would hate it and say it was "just noise", but that just makes it more special. If you like mathcore, and don't mind ze noise, then albums don't get much more solid than this one.
With Teeth I don't care what other people say about it being fluff, or insignificant, I personally think it's an amazing album. There's not a single song on there that I don't like.
TOOL- Lateralus Simply perfect! Great lyrics, music that blows your mind....it's an experience!Magnificent! PINK FLOYD- The Darks Side of the Moon What more to say about this album????? Everyone knows it! It's in the pantheon of albums! DEEP PURPLE- Machine Head Sooooooooooo inspiring! Historical record!
I think I'm going to add Taylor Swift's self-titled debut album to my list. It's absolutely amazing and she's one of the most talented women in music today. There isn't one song I don't like and half the songs bring me to the verge of tears (I've got no idea why -- I guess she's just that good of a songwriter). It's probably one of my five favorite albums of all time.
