    "Leave Out All The Rest" Video Premiere

    Linkin Park's next single off Minutes to Midnight will be "Leave Out All The Rest." The band recently shot a video for the song, which was directed by Joe Hahn, and will premiere Monday, June 2! Be sure to check out all your favorite video channels on Monday to see the new video. It's out of this world!

    We'll keep you updated with specific channels/times as they become available.

    I like how the guys are sort of playing characters; it makes the video more emotionally engaging for me. :) Like, they're not just impartial to the video's concept this time.

    All the same, I do like it when they're detached. It gives me the impression that they are perfect and invincible. Ha. :lol: It's just, this is sort of different and refreshing ... but it's also good! It's different and it also points back to the old HT and "Meteora" videos with the epic CGI and stuff.

    I mean, Chester did this kind of acting thing for "Shadow Of The Day" ... but this new video destroys all the previous MTM ones fo' sho'!

    It's really nice to see the band act. Man, when I watch this video, I really feel like I've known these guys personally for years, it's so wierd.

    Anyway, I feared it might get kind of cheesy with being in space and all, but it worked out well.

    So what was it about? They traveled for the sun and then they reached it at the end. Or did Chester change something that did they reached the sun?

    To me, and based on what Joe has said before, the whole video is metaphorical of their touring. Like, to me, I see them manning the ship as if it were a tour bus, (hyper)sleeping as if they were on tour -- just about everything gets paralleled with their touring. Save for the part where their ship almost gets fried by the sun and somehow survives. I don't know about that.

    But, like, yeah, it depicts the loneliness and the isolation the guys might feel while away from their families and stuff, and, how I interpret the sun is, it's sort of the goal they realise they're going for, and they realise that seeing it's beauty [up close] is what makes leaving their world behind worthwhile.

    My favourite part of this video is the bridge; one of my favourite shots is a close-up of Rob where he opens his eyes when the ship wakes them up.

    Cool video but I don't really see a parallel between the song and the clip.
