First of all, the Guitar Hero World Tour News. Yes, this came from Wikipedia, because it had it all condensed in one nice list that I can copy and paste. Go to the Wiki article if you want to see actual sources, but I'm sure it's accurate: Foo Fighters, more specifically Everlong? Tool? Sublime? System of a Down? Some more Muse? Holy shit, this is going to be one fucking awesome game In Rock Band news, a screenshot from RB2 has leaked. It's not yet known if it's real, but if it is, holy shit. More awesomeness:
I think if Tool is on... whatever Guitar Hero this is, I'll be getting it. I can't pass that shit up.
Yeah, and Schism is an awesome song. As far as Tool singles go, I'd love Aenema, Stinkfist or Sober as well, but given the lyrical content of both of those songs, I don't think they'll ever make it to a version of GH or RB. But Schism and Vicarious will do just fine.
The bottom 2 tracks in that "Rock Band 2" screenshot are already DLC on Rock Band. = Pretty much a certain fake. Unless Rock Band 2 will allow you to import DLC from the first game, which I seriously doubt.
I have read an interview on IGN and they said that you are able to import the DLC songs from the first to the second.
Yeah, rock band and its sequel will be the first game to have cross-title DLC meaning that all the DLC for RB1 and RB2 will work for both games.
Hmm, well that's quite interesting, and further proves that Harmonix is the far cooler and less money-greedy developer when it comes to Rock Band vs. Guitar Hero. Still not sold on the screenshot, but it seems more likely now.
Either way for me, Im buying both...seeing as i have three brothers... im just buying both so they can stop fighting in which game is better... but im more on RB
I really want Rock Band 2, but if there isnt any Muse I may have to go with GH:WT. Although, you can download Hysteria to Rock Band if I remember correctly, so maybe that will make up for it. In any case, both set lists look good. Give It Away should be cool, and so should Chop Suey.
...the hell? I certainly haven't heard that. That'd be a horrible song for the came. No one would be able to do the vocals. Anyway, I'm pretty excited about this. I've got Rock Band so knowing I'd be able to play all those songs (my buddy and I have downloaded all the songs off DLC) in Rock Band 2 is a breath of fresh air, assuming the feature actually exists.
One Step Closer, while not mentioned on this thread, is a rumored track for Rock Band. Some guy on Scorehero posted a few track names and claimed he was play testing the game. So theres no REAL evidence suggesting it, but its being rumored right now. I agree its a dumb choice.
I own Rock Band for PS3, and Harmonix totally dropped the ball with the guitar not even working half of the time. So I'm seriously looking forward to the far more superious Guitar Hero installment. I'll be preordering this bad boy and picking it up at release. The thing that Guitar Heor is gonna win in is thier new Create Your Own Songs feature, which sounds ACE. I can't really tell who might have the bette tracklisting, because their both pretty equal right now. The drums and guitar for GH seem to be flawless over whatever Rock Band is working on. The Guitar Hero controller is going to be larger and closer to the size of a real guitar. Plus, in addition with the 5 colored buttons, right next to them are going to be like a colored touch pad for playing slap base and creating ridiculous solo's. Though I must say, whatever LP song they pick for GH better be good. Something like A Place for My head would satisfy me.
