I've only just recently installed Firefox on my system since I had to reformat and just wondered what add-ons people use and couldn't possibly do without once they have them?

Adblock Plus - no explanation needed
Better Gmail 2 - a lifehacker extension. i could use a bunch of greasemonkey scripts, but this does well.
DownThemAll! - makes downloading big files easier, 10 chunks
Firebug - i'm a web developer, so this is extremely useful
Foxmarks - keeps my bookmarks in sync with my other computers
Greasemonkey - useful for making tweaks to various websites
Hide Tab Bar - nifty when taking screenshots.
Mouse Gestures Redox - once you start using mouse gestures, you can't go back.
Nightly Tester Tools - forces compatibility with various extensions
Smart Bookmarks Bar - removes bookmark names from bookmarks toolbar so can keep my bookmarks, address bar and menus on one bar (minimal)
Stylish - like greasemonkey, helps make tweaks to various sites
tabgroups - extremely useful. say you're looking into a few different things. you can separate each subject into it's own tab so you dont lose yourself in a billion tabs on one bar
Tamper Data - i'm a web developer, as already mentioned, i need to check what my scripts are sending to my server sometimes for debugging purpopses

    Ad Block Plus
No Script - automatically disables javascript (and other various scripts, including flash) on webpages, to prevent malicious use of them, forcing me to enable scripts manually for sites that i know i trust. This addon makes firefox the safest browser available. Also helpful in blocking ads.
    Nightly Tester Tools
FlashGot - for integration with my download manager, Net Transport
Tabs Mix Plus - provides tons of options for customizing tab behavior
FaviconizeTab - reduces the width of certain tabs (that i specify) to just the favicon
Web Developer Toolbar - awesome toolbar full of useful tools for web developers
Fission - makes a safari-like loading progress bar in the location/awesome bar
Download Status bar - shows progress of current downloads right above the status bar
    Greasemonkey
    Google toolbar
Menu Editor - Allows you to edit all context menus in firefox, including file, edit, and the right click menus.
Toolbar Buttons - provides dozens of great toolbar buttons
Hide menubar - allows you to hide the top menu bar (file, edit, view, etc). i use toolbar buttons (from the previous addon) for various functions

Well right now I'm using Opera because firefox streaming was going slow in linux so now I have an alternative but anyway here are the plugins/addons I've used and will continue to use when I'm using firefox.

    AdBlock Plus: It's kinda obvious
DownloadThemAll! :An awesome download accelerator and manager
FireNES: Let's you play thousands of NES games through firefox for FREE
    VideoDownloader: - You know
Unplug (outdated): Download *.flv and other media from youtube and other sites
GreaseMonkey - so I can customize how my pages work and shitz
OakIME: For when I can't access my IME on other peoples computers
Quick Locale Switcher: I want to search Yahoo/google.co.jp (japanese web) by just typing the regular site, google.com takes me to Japanese google, true of all locales.
