So the albums supposed to drop Oct. 7th. All i have found so far are the 2 songs available on myspace. I didnt like either with my first listen but Re-Education has been slowly growing on me and hopefully Collapse will do the same. But I am really hoping the album will be filled with the catchy punk songs I have grown to love through all 3 of their albums... unless they finally ran out of ideas which would be understandable considering just about everyone of their songs was one i could get stuck in my head. But i've really got my feelings crossed for this one as it's one of my favorite bands and i am just worried that its gonna be a huge miss... I just hope it leaks soon so i can stop worrying. 1. "Collapse (Post-Amerika)" - 3:19 2. "Long Forgotten Sons" 3. "Re-Education (Through Labor)" - 3:43 4. "The Dirt Whispered" 5. "Kotov Syndrome" 6. "From Heads Unworthy" 7. "The Strength to Go On" 8. "Audience of One" 9. "Entertainment" 10. "Hero of War" 11. "Savior" 12. "Hairline Fracture" 13. "Whereabouts Unknown"
Hero Of War is my new favourite Rise Against song. The new album's pretty good and it does seem like they were making a genuine attempt at trying different things. Still, it's pretty much the same as their previous albums in the sense that there are some great songs and some I don't really care for.
Never really been a huge rise against fan, but this new cd is pretty decent. I like a few songs, my favorite so far has to be Audience of One.
I like the song 'Give It All' by them, nothing else really interested me though. I also liked that ninja video on youtube that accompanied it. that was pro
Yea man deffintly. The verse about the girl with a white flag...man that sent chills throu my body when i heard that.. Its one amazing cd.
On second listen this is probably my favourite album of theirs. It's really good and that's coming from someone who wasn't a huge fan of them before.
I am actually a little dissapointed in it right now but maybe after a few lessons i will love it. Revolutions Per Minute was my favorite album and even as a high supporter of this band I will admit that for the most part, all of their music is closely the same, however i think to me thats what makes the band so great. I can put on everyone of their cd's and listen to it all the way through, know all the words, and few each one as a catchy hit. I am really not feeling this catchyness in each of their new songs but I'll have to keep trying. and yes Hero at War is such a amazing yet sad song
Im reading on various websites that alot of people are really dissapointed in the new album.S Saying that they have "changed". My first listen throu the album i thought "this is deffitnly rise against". After my next 10-15 listens, i decided that this will surely make my album of the year.
i wouldnt really say they changed exactly, i just feel they don't have an album filled with catchy songs from start to finish as it seems to me they usually do. Thats not really to say the album is horrible. It will most certainly meet my top albums but at the start of the year when i looked at what was coming, this was an album i put HUGE expectations on so i was really counting on epicness which i dont think they met. It's only because of my high expectaions thats im upset with it
For me it's pretty much the opposite. I found it to be their catchiest album overall, except perhaps Siren Song which wasn't particularly varied in its catchiness and the way it was written, whereas Appeal To Reason is, in my opinion.
