On the next LP album should they do another HT or go on past Meteora?

I want the next album to be an album within itself. I don't want it to be another Hybrid Theory nor do I want it to be another Meteora. I want something different and what different is, I certainly do not know.

It's called Meteora. Sorry, but the similarities between both albums are just sickening. They need to experiment on the next album. If there's going to be a Hybrid Theory Part III, I'm going to be pretty pissed.

I'd like HT quality lyrics with a Meteora heaviness. I'd like something new though, maybe a slow song with Mike singing, an acoustic track, and a deep dark song about suicide or hating someone.

Making another HT album lyrical-wise is very hard thing to do. You have your full life to pen a debut but only a few months to a year to make the sophmore effort. I'd rather LP takes a long time to make a new amazing album instead of rushing an album with repetitive lyrics and similar themes of pain. I know LP can really mature with a new album.

Don't get me wrong, I love Meteora. But it lacks something that Hybrid Theory had. Depth.

I think that Linkin Park needs to stop worrying about what the critics think of them. No matter what they do, they're always going to be my favorite band. They're the band that got me into rock music. They need to just worry about what their fans what instead of what the critics think.

I agree, 100%. I would like to see a slighter broader range of topics covered in the lyrics.

They shouldn't move on but make more complicated, different music with the same Linkin Park feel to it. I'd rather have guitar riffs than heavier music. They need to come together and say "We need to put all we can in every line, in every second of the song."

This is the do or die album.

I think for there next album that Mike should go deeper into the Rap and just have a pure rap song with a rap beat and Chester should go deeper into the Rock and just make a pure heavy rock song then they should just put both of those songs together and make it work. Thats what I would like to hear. AND IAM SICK OF PEOPLE SAYING OHH NOO IF IT HAS A GUITAR IN THE SONG ITS A ROCK SONG EVEN THOUGH SOME ONE IS RAPPING DURING THE SONG  OK GUYS Rock does not own the guitar and havint the guitar in a rap song does not make that song a rock song its a rap song :D got it.
