Really random note: our current and final single from Minutes To Midnight, "Leave Out All The Rest," is going to be the theme of November 6th's episode of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (9PM PT on CBS). The episode opens and closes with –- and is named after –- the song. Elements of the song are used throughout the episode to underline and score the building story of Gil Grissom and his unresolved love for Sara Sidle who recently left the crime lab. Never before has a television series built the score of an episode around a rock radio single.

I love the fact that they seem to be itching to write new songs already.

Linkin Park to record fourth album in November

In a new interview with Billboard, Chester said Linkin Park will start recording their fourth album early November and it will be "a concept record", he explained that "If we're writing a song with a specific purpose you're allowed to step out of the realms of commercialism a little bit, you don't want to dilute that purpose with something that doesn't have anything to do with it, which is really interesting." As regard to his solo album, he has been recording with producer Howard Benson and hopes to release it next spring or summer. The album will probably be finished in the next couple of months, he describes the set as "a lot more straightforward rock, with a little bit of an electronic element to it, lots of keys and snyths and stuff like that." Chester also hopes "to do as much touring as possible" to promote the solo album. Read full interview here.

    From 93X blog:

"Singer CHESTER BENNINGTON's back injury recently forced LINKIN PARK to cancel a planned five-date tour of China. MIKE SHINODA says Bennington had an injured disk, and while he's expected to make a full recovery, doctors have told him he can't continue to jump off of the band's risers in concert. Explains Shinoda, "The doctor said that's one of the major contributors to his problems, so he's got to knock that off."

Just a small precision of what happened.
