Mercenaries 2: World in Flames - Some good advances from the first one, u have to stock pile supplies and fuel for supply drops and u have to recruit a piliot, mechanic etc.i like the fact that u no longer drown when u jump in water, that sucked in the last one. still alot of things they can improve on 8/10
Ive been playing Fallout 3 lately awesome game, pretty easy to just wander randomly into the wastes, havent gotten very far but still like it so far 9/10
Forza Motorsport 2 again, it's really cool You can really customize your car with up to 1000 layers on each side of the car and you can tune your car to the finest points.
n+ - Single handedly the most self rewarding and annoying game ever. - 9/10 It is a MUST have arcade game for the 360, if anyone get's it let me know so we can co-op.
Fallout 3 - 10/10 Absolutly amazing game. If you haven't played it yet, you really need to. Now. Thats all that needs to be said Rock Band 2 - 9/10 The best music game ever, in my opinion. Takes all the stuff from RB1 and just makes it all better, like being able to play Band World Tour online now. The setlist isn't as good as the first, but that can be sorted by importing all the RB1 songs.
Mirror's Edge - 9/10 There is so much more here than meets the eye. By far the most addicting game I have played in a very long time. The story mode is alright but the game shines with the speed runs and time trials. Yeah, it helps to be a little motivated by achievements to get the job done, but the challenge makes it tough to stop playing. The more you play, the more you learn and grow, making the experience change with every play. The design is brilliant. That said, this game is one of the most frustrating games to play at times. It slaps you in the face if you are not on point. Momentum is everything. One slip or if you are off a single inch, kills your entire run. Story mode, that's no problem. Re-spawn and go at it again. Time trials and speed runs, be prepared to have a meltdown. And many more to follow. Easily a top 5 game of the year. Replayability up the butt. Prince of Persia (360) - 7/10 Nothing really new here. I loved the art direction and epic scale but that's about it. The platforming is bland and there is quite a bit of things to complain about game play wise. The ending was good (after defeating the final boss). It brought memories of experiencing Ico and Shadow of the Colossus for the first time. Overall, there's not much replay value here. All that's really left to do is find the remaining light seeds but that's a painful chore. If you are a fan of the previous games in the series, you will probably enjoy this game. If not, or if platforming isn't your thing, there's not much to see here. Just look at spoilers on YouTube.
n+ (DS) 7/10- Basically your expected unbelievably frustrating game, now portable. Controls can let you down at times, but otherwise very entertaining. Guitar Hero: World Tour (PS2) 9/10- Very fun in band mode, great song selection including Linkin Park's "What I've Done" and 30 Second to Mars' "The Kill". They done away with the song menu in career mode, lumping songs together into gig set lists, the later ones about 5 or 6 songs long which can be tedious. The load times for the PS2 version is a little long, but it's to be expected, the console having to load 4 characters and 4 separate tracks.
littlebigplanet 10/10 - i think it's the best game i played this year. it's just so fun and the most innovative game i've played since animal crossing. Tekken: Dark Ressurection 9/10 - best psp game i've played next to dissidia and portable ops
Just got mario kart today for wii. The Wheel feels a little sketchy and I cant seem to make tight turns at all and it was actually really frustrating me but Im sure it will grow on me. Especially since I cant right fully let my gf beat me in it this weekend when we play. Oh ive also been really addicted to Final Fantasy Dissdia for PSP. Such an amazing game...
