The first song I remember listening to of my own accord this year was The Pretender by Foo Fighters. No significance in regards to it being a new year, just a good song. I didn't really think in terms of how it would probably be the first thing I listened to this year.

Yeah, I don't remember that, either. Apparently I don't pay much attention to this kind of stuff. But I'm guessing it was probably something by Three Days Grace. Oh, or maybe Headstrong by Trapt, because I've been listening to it quite a lot lately. .....and I think your avatar is very amusing.
I spent a couple of minutes trying to figure out which song would best suit NYE, but eventually I think it was either Mayday Parade, Hedley, or Incubus that I switched on. I was kind of put out that I couldn't find a suitable song, actually.
That's kind-of what I meant really. Not "Wuz at awsum partay nd couldn't remember, dude." Because I was out too, didn't go to sleep until half 6 in the morning, however what I really did mean was when I woke up, sat down, thought about and chose 1 song to listen to for the new year. Guess I'll make it more clear next time, at least most of you got it right first time though, which is always nice to see.
