I read the first part ages ago. It's more like 'Adam Jones is playing his guitar'. I'm always excited for new tool, although their last album didn't really live up to their previous two.
As super awesome and freaking amazing as it would be to have another Tool album so quickly, realism says to be ready for some sitting back and waiting.
Or he doesn't like Tool, which is okay because, as you know, everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
It would be nice to have another Tool album soon! It just seems though that after Lateralus they started to get involved in so many projects that with 10,000 Days it lost a bit of steam, not as much of an evolution and definitive statement as the others. Either way, everything they put out is fantastic so I'm hoping they release something soon!
I really wouldn't be surprised if we don't see another Tool album at all, or if the next one is the last one. Maynard seems to be pretty intent on Puscifer and his whole wine deal, but I guess this is how it was when he was doing the APC stuff, so I don't know. We'll have to wait and see. Seeing them at Bonnaroo 2007 was goddamn amazing, though. I wish I was as close to the stage as I was at NIN on Halloween 2008, but it was still balls out awesome. I'd love to see them again.
Yeah, they are. And it was definately a great set, only added to the experience by two things: 1) psychedelic mushrooms and, 2) Tom Morello shredding on "Lateralus"
nice Were Rage Against The Machine there aswell? Lateralus is my favourite Tool song so i presume that that would've been amazing.
no, Tom was apart of Bonnaroo as his "Nightwatchman" persona. If my memory serves me correctly, Tom shredded atleast 2 or 3 minutes of his solo using his teeth. Or maybe it was playing his guitar behind his head. I was kinda fucked out of my mind. Either way, it was awesome.
That's pretty epic. I'll find it when i have some time. EDIT: Tool are fans of King Crimson LPA'ers, feel free to join me in expressing my love for them.
I'm in between with Vicarious and Parabola Someone asked me if Rosetta Stoned was in German, I was like wtf? It's all in English
Perhaps we should make an official Crimson thread? I am a big fan of them! Have you heard any more new from them? Last I heard Tony Levin has rejoined the band and they added Gavin Harrison as a second drummer! I am pumped and hope they tour my way soon!
