What the hell is wrong with the mixing on this song? It sounds like Chester's in a tunnel. I like it but yeah..
I really support Chester in everything he does, and I think he's an extremely talented artist with a fantastic voice, but so far I have been less than satisfied by what I've heard from this record. I LOVED Let Down when I heard it in 2005, and think that's an example of Chester at his best...but so far I've yet to find anything of that caliber based on what's been released. I'm crossing my fingers that the rest of the CD is far better. It bums me to say this about one of my favorite artists, but in the same light I think Chester would rather have his fans be honest than have them kissing his ass on all he does.
God, this album is gonna suck. Fire was pretty good, and Let Down sounds promising from what we've heard. But Crawl Back In and My Suffering are just awful.
I actually like this song..its not the original screaming one BUT i do hear some screaming when he says "My Suffering, My my my Suffering!!"..i do like this song..good job Chester =)
The only song that has disappointed me so far is Crawl Back In.. Fire was good... My Suffering is awesome and Let Down i know its gonna fucking rule...so im hoping that the rest of the album is good... not as good as i was expecting but good enough for me
It's not bad, it sounds a lot like Queens Of The Stone Age in my opinion. Fire is still the best so far.
I'm totally with you! I would actually like "Fire" better, but the Chorus gets boring pretty quickly... Good work though Chester! @Derek: I listened to it two times and I have no idea what you mean by this tunnel sound you describe. To me it sounds... just pretty normal.
Hmm, it's odd. Crawl Back In and Fire sound fine, but not this song. Maybe I just have very very picky ears. Likely considering I learn a lot of songs by ear on bass so I hear things people don't lol.
I really like the song. Drums are great but I wish the screams during the chorus were louder. I love the bridge (1:52 to 2:10). All those electronic effects, the guitar, double bass drum and the amazing 'my suffering' scream was the best part of the song by far. Can't wait for Let Down and of course the whole album. I'm still till thinking that Walking In Circles is/will be the best song on the record.
