Lockjaw was actually an instrumental created to promote the new pro tools 8 software that was released earlier this year. It has been available to download for free for a few months now. ;)

I'm really stoked to hear this CD. It'd be awesome if the demos are radically different.

The biggest difference between the two songs are the lyrics. The guitar and drum parts are almost exactly the same between the two songs. Though, this version of Stick and Move will probably have lyrics from Chester instead of Mark.

I remember Mike mentioning that the original version has singing verses, but it didn't work, thus the rapping in the album version. So yeah, has to be really different.

Wasn't Faint originally a lot slower?

    Imagine a slow Faint. O_O

Yeeeees. This track list is awesome.

It has the two I was hoping for in Figure 09 (it HAS to be the sung version) and Drawing. Plus Stick 'n Move and A-Six are an awesome bonus.

Bit miffed at the inclusion of yet ANOTHER By Myself demo. Hopefully its quite different.

The Figure.09 demo doesn't HAVE to be the sung version, that song went through two major changes. It originally had rap verses, with totally different lyrics (which is the version heard in the background on one of the LPTV episodes where Brad is screwing around and playing a guitar solo while practically falling off the chair he's sitting on). Then they re-wrote it with singing verses, before finally switching back to rap verses right before they finished mixing the album.

So there are two Figure.09 demos, one has rap verses, one has singing verses. We could get either one.

I don't know which version of "Figure.09" we'll get, but I'm happy to get a demo version of "Figure.09" period -- and ditto for "Breaking The Habit". ^_^

Isn't Drawing the instrumental that eventually became Breaking The Habit?

    Yeah i think so.

Figure.09 is the least memorable song on Meteora so i don't really care for a demo of that, but the tracklisting actually seems pretty good.

I thought it was one of the best, right behind Faint and Lying From You.

Ah yes, of course. I had forgotten they had a rap version before the sung one. I still think its more likely they'll include the sung one, it'll be more different.

sooooo although "New Divide" is the most recent stuff from Linkin Park, Lockjaw is kinda new stuff even though it was strickly for Pro Tools 8 software? Which also means this might be a preview of whats to come on the new album?

I think Mike did an LPU chat where he seemed to say the new album might be along similar lines to Lockjaw.

    I found it

I'm not sure how long ago this was, though.
