I've moved on from P2P programs that can be shut down :chemist:. No more of them Kazaa or Napster programs for me .
KaZaA, Morpheus and Limewire aren't illegal at all. They're simply a program to establish a connection between 2 users to share files. Also, if you move to programs that aren't shut down, usually this means that they aren't as well known which means more adware and spyware. KaZaA can't see if you use kazaa lite. Even if for some crazy reason they did, there's nothing you can get in trouble for because you weren't the one who distributed it. Hope this helps
IRC.
OK, because there's also p2ps where you can only register if someone gave your name, something like this... Kinda like if you shared only with friends...
LoL never thought of downloading mp3s off of mIRC lol I only download albums off there and is it true that once you install Kazaa you can never get the spy ware stuff off your computer inless you format?
it is in a sense private or "underground" because of the little media attention it gets (concerning piracy and things).<!--QuoteBegin--Alex@Nov 3 2003, 05:19 PM Dont forget iTunes, the legal way to download MP3s for 99 Cent
m-m-m-m-mac-unit!
Yeah. Get it here.
No, that's not what I'm talking about. It's pretty much Microsoft's version of iTunes or something, but I forgot the name of the program.
No, that's not what I'm talking about. It's pretty much Microsoft's version of iTunes or something, but I forgot the name of the program.
Windows Media Player. It comes with Windows and is total crap. It's crippled, meaning it lacks features and limits how high quality MP3s you can rip from CDs unless you pay. iTunes is completley free. There are no extra paid feautres or anything (except for music store, obviously). It does everything Windows Media Player does when you pay for it, except iTunes is free. I've had iTunes on my Mac ever since I got it and love it, and the Windows version seems really nice too. And the music store is really nice too. When there's a song you just cant find a decent quality version of on a p2p networks, you can pay 99 cents to download a high quality, legal version. Really a great deal, hell, it's cheaper than a bottle of soda. I've purchased quite a few songs off the music store...it's really worth it
You people don't listen KaZaA was not shut down. KaZaA Lite was simply removed from the internet because it was a hacked version of KaZaA. You can still use Lite though, you just can't get another copy off the net. Understand?
Cool I still got it on my laptop. What's the latest version I downloaded this one like half month-month ago.
