To be fair, opinions can never be "right" simply because they are just that, opinions.

Those were done by some other guy though. Mike didn't do any of the artworks for MTM.

Ah okay well glad that got cleared up. And I remember reading about the possibility of a concept album here, so either whatever quote was used from the band was either completely made up, taken out of context, or they really did not pursue the idea much at all. So little in fact that Mike forgot that it was quoted as an idea in the first place.

I just wish that they could make sth. Linkin Park.
MIKE x JOE = the best art for the 4th studio album.

What started this whole mess is that MTV took one quote by them and turned it into an entire article. They're also the ones responsible for taking Mike's "Genre Busting" comment completely out of context. Basically...if this album disappoints, you can blame it on those two different quotes because a lot of the quotes that have caused fans to think this is a 'genre bending concept album' have came from those two articles.

Hey, do you think they'll release song descriptions along with the track list like they did for M2M?

I really don't think there was anything "wrong" with MTM at all. It was just a different creature from HT/Meteora and that's why some fans just wont accept it no matter what. It actually was a nicely done album.

Ohhh these discussions of all their albums... why does people not accept to take every album on its own. I mean, every album is good when it serves to be listened. The first 2 were powerful and perfect to vent a horrible day out, to release some stress, to listen also a kinda of different already "ground breaking" music. I passed wonderful years with them and still i do.
But seriously, i am in love with a woman through chat since almost 3 years, and i think i never listened to Hybrid Theory nor Meteora during the 3 to 7 hours chat a day. I prefer to put on repeat Minutes to Midnight, because the atmosphere is more adapt to a "normal" situation of life, and it has no sense to say <<there are other bands who can do normal music>>; is true there is Depeche Mode and other music or vocalists to give that atmosphere, but i love to think LP, which is my favorite since a decade, has music for simply every moment of my day. I am so curious to see how i will integrate the next album into daily schedule, even if i have already a semi-idea. Sometimes, i just prefer to have a peaceful heart while listening to In Between and The Little Things Give You Away instead of smiling to my lover by listening a screamer saying DON'T STAY, even if i love all the songs, but you see what i mean...
And even tho, MTM was not a common album. If "common" artists would already have done an album like that, i would have them or have a longer playlist, but i don't. I like LP because they are different, for one reason or another.

Minutes To Midnight does have that whole bipolar thing going for it :p. I don't Minutes To Midnight was really a strong album as a whole. It had some great tracks, but doesn't seem to flow too well. Whereas Meteora had a ton of shit songs, but worked pretty well.

Hybrid Theory was just badass all round though . So as I said before, imo, Hybrid Theory>Minutes To Midnight>Meteora.
