Linkin Park's "Somewhere I Belong" will be featured on Muchmusic Canada's annual rock song compilation cd, "Big Shiny Tunes". The cd is the 8th installment of the volume and comes complete with 18 rock tracks from bands such as Nickelback, Trapt, A.F.I, Jane's Addiction, Three Days Grace and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Big Shiny Tunes 8 will be released in Canada on November the 18th, the same day that the "Live in Texas" CD/DVD is released in North America. According to the tracklisting, a "radio version" of "Somewhere I Belong" will be included on the compilation. As far as many fans know, there is very little difference between the album version and what is played on then radio. Basically, the ending part from the end of "Don't Stay" is not carried over into the beginning of "Somewhere I Belong" like the album version. It can also be considered as the "video version" aired on TV. Check here for the full tracklisting: Big Shiny Tunes' Official Website
It's a bit different. On my station they dont have the sound that blends in from Don't Stay. Here they just start at the guitar.

The CNBC puts limits on Muchmusic over supporting Canadian bands. 1/3rd of the videos Muchmusic airs have to be from a Canadian band, therefore the cd's they put out are also limited. If these restrictions weren't in place, I'm sure 95% of the cd would be American and European bands, but it isn't. Too bad. Edit: Wow, they could've done better. 10 of the 18 tracks are Canadian bands. And half of them are pop-punk. . I'm surprised F11 aren't on the tracklist.
yea. they should call it "Now thats what i call required by law" another thing i found funny was how fast Canada and the US completely forgot about avril lavigne i almost edited into my post "i understand" cause i get it, all countries are different and stuff. i meant no disrespect to canada, it was only intended to be joke, that is untill you came and made it all serious.
:chaz: <<< These Guys wouldnt care about which country....how do u think they got on the cd?? Muchmusic had to ask every single band if they can put them on it......including LINKIN PARK and im from canada and i dont make fun of the U.S.A....soo come on guys we are all fans so dont be fighting about countries this is to talk about the band not about contries! Thank you.... (If You have a comment please reply)
Average compiltation. Some good songs, some average ones... Usually BST compiltations are better... Anyway .
I dont like the compiltation either, but it's cool that they put LP in it, and i didn't think LP belonged to any of the bands on the CD, and they put SIB on the first track... but that wont convince me to buy it though... its all cool, imean SIB got a lot of airplay and that gives them enough reason to put it on the CD...
