    The alternate cover reminds me of the 80's and not in a good way. For some reason it looks like a cover to a hair metal band's logo or something. So far, I like the black album cover.

    I'm going to go ahead and say that while the art overall is great, that alternate cover looks like literally all he did was make random diagonal selections and invert the colors.

    The 'Chester Dust' one reminds me of the first message that appeared at linkinpark.com/message. The one that everyone claimed to see an elephant in, but I couldn't ever see it. :sleep:

    Seeing the alternative cover just makes me appreciate the current one much more. It also looks a lot better with those mock ups in jewel cases. =/

    I prefer the normal cover, and the inverted one to to this one.

    I like the special edition cover (the one with white on black background), it looks really cool, the black on white one is cool too but not as cool as the other.
    Glad that the alternate one didn't make the cut, it looks good as an art but doesn't seem to fit in as A Thousand Suns album cover.

    Guys, do you know what font is used in the the album cover? The font used to write 'Linkin Park' and 'A Thousand Suns' ? Thanks.

    The alternate cover is okay, but I think it's got too much going on. The comparative simplicity of the actual cover is what makes it so appealing, in my opinion. I don't much care for the inverted cover (white rays on black background) - so I'm glad they made it black-on-white for the regular cover :)

    but cool art doesn't have to be created in super special complicated ways. sometimes a piece is art, BECAUSE it's simple...
    anyways, i agree with you, that it's good they didn't pick the alternate cover... even though i kinda like the image itself. but not as a cover. it's sort of too much.
