I actually did like WID, even from the 30 second clip.
You're right, listening to songs in shorts clips just gives me bad impressions of how it'll sound. (IMO)The catalyst stems were all good except drums, Mike's vocals, I liked Mike's bridge clip, and this clip is okay until the end where I want to rip my hair out.

 

I just hope they don't "over-produce" this album like they did New Divide... Chester's voice is amazing it doesn't need a million different friggin effects on it. Produce it like they did for Across the Line, Not Alone, and most of M2M... the more RAW, the better he sounds

Even with all the stems and now with this preview I still have no friggin clue what the bulk of this song is going to sound like

 

This is actually starting to sound cool, imagine how awesome it would be if there were real drums instead of the electric ones.

I think new divide was an exception since it was for a movie and not for a record, but new divide is one catchy song not gunna lie. Mikes voice seems to have alot of work done to it tho..

Auto-tune can actually be used in a really tasteful way, but that's a very hard thing to accomplish. You should listen to Jack Conte to get what I mean.

Is anyone else starting to have doubts with the 'Robot Boy' song after hearing this?... If a song by Linkin Park called the catalyst sounds even the slightest bit techno or w.e it is, then imagine the song called 'robot boy'...Eek Fingers crossed lads!

 

Yeah, they've done a great job keeping everyone anticipated. Very clever by LP.

Robot Boy will have rap on it, so it'll be all good!

 

Robot Boy was just a random working title that happened to stick like Figure.09

Or maybe LP is trying to bring back doing the robot.
