Mike Gives Details Regarding ATS & Album Length

Thanks. It's interesting. It does sound like this could be a semi concept album. And he didn't completely rule out the genre busting thing. But of course, this was MONTHS ago. Many things could have changed.

 

I have a theory on what ATS will sound like:

The band has said on multiple occasions in the past that they pick the song that encompasses the sound of the new album to be lead single. From what I've heard from The Catalyst so far, I'd guess that it's 50% electronic and 50% alt-rock or just rock with less guitars. This seems to coincide with what the French magazine that heard the heard the 6 track sampler said: have the album being more electronic based and the other half being rock/guitar-driven.

What do you guys think?

 

They have also said though that unlike MTM, this album has a constant sound all the way through. So I don't think it's split up into an electronic half and a rock half. It's all going to be mixed through-out, and some songs will emphasize certain aspects more than others.

Plus the fact that they were misinformed about how many tracks there were, kinda dismisses credibility on that article.

45-50 minute album will deff do! only reason i would want it longer is because im selfish and just want moar linkin park!

 

If that's the case, then Adam should know the tracks true length.

Adam if you're reading this, does the entire track go for 5'42 in length? Or is that part of that the interlude to the next track?

I understand what you mean by trying to breach that gap. "Space Bound" is truly amazing and very unexpected. It really stood out from the rest of the album and I recommend everyone give this experimental track a listen. Now, with Mike doing rapping on ATS (maybe more than MTM?), Chester's voice, killer beats, electronic sounds, and alternative rock, surely we're going to get a listening experience that will be quite --- orgasmic.
