    Believe me, why would LP release their first single that goes for 5:42?
    Only to find out that radio stations will edit it down to 4!

    Yeah, Derek probably shouldn't have said anything, but speculation aside, I can't see us getting much more from the full release of The Catalyst, I think we've got the bigger picture here and I for one think it is awesome.

    So when I first head the Catalyst I had the same feeling when I heard MTM - a bit WTF - THEN I listened again and heard everything. This is really new but is also still very linkin park. And whether this is the full song or just 2/3rds I really like it. It has a good feeling to it and has good siging, nice lyrics.
    I can totally see why people are scared and worried but personally I was freakin out about a new Linkin Park album but again my freakin out was over exagerated because again as usual they have delivered on what they have said.
    And its great to see all this hype just over one song! The 15 or so album doesnt come out for another month!

    Didn't someone find the Warner image that claimed it to be 5:42? I'm sure of that.
    And I'm waiting on that download now Linkin Park!

    Yeah, it's been listed as 5:42 everywhere, but still, I don't know the length and whether that 5:42 contains an interlude leading to the next track. It's all speculation until we hear the full thing I'm afraid.

    It's growing on me after each listen. I absolutely LOVE the last part though.

    5:42 for the song in the album but 4:20 for the video and radio edit.
    That sounds reasonable if it does turn out like that.
    Many songs have been shortened for radio broadcasting. I won't be surprised if it is shortened here.

    Maybe the song on the album is 5:42 and the radio edit is 4mins?

    That could explain intros and outros

    ... and The Catalyst will be available to buy tomorrow, but some who pre-ordered on Linkin Park.com are expecting it "early", which may mean today.

    I really like the piano stuff. the electronic stuff makes me wonder what the fuck the band is thinking. Like it was said hopefully this is edited because its the same lyrics the entire time.
