The Catalyst Early Pre-Order Confirmation

iTunes doesn't usually update in Australia until Tuesday afternoon (August 3rd).
But, that said most big bands do get their singles/albums up on release day, so it depends what Warner have organised with iTunes.

 

People living in US/Can EST will get it at 3 pm on August 2, 2010 according to timezone conversion calculations.

 

About 5 more hours.

We will all get it at the same time as the Facebook status says. You could be talking to your friend in Australia and you would both get the email at the same time. But August 2nd to the U.S. person will be August 3rd to the Australian person. I hope that clears things up with anyone who is confused.

Oh, and WTF LP! You really did mean we would hear it only minutes early? Maybe not even first? The other things they promised in the past were no big deal in terms of people's money. But how many people saw the tweet and said "Wow, we get to hear it early, I guess I will pre order it!" To me, it's just false advertising. Although there is a part of me who wants to see this from the main LP facebook

 

Wow, I'm confused and pissed! Broken promise is a no-no LP!
I feel a lawsuit coming on for false advertising and broken promises on LP's part! But hey, at least they've taken my money!

Read the post wrong :/ guess it is 29 hours. When I read it wrong, I was happy, now that I found it that I read it wrong and that there's about 29 hours left... I'm sad... really sad.

 

Hah I didn't pre-order because I'll get the album cheaper somewhere else, and I figured if people were actually going to get the single early it'd end up on the net pretty quickly.

My sympathies to those of you that believed LP would send out the single earlier. Pretty dog move in my view, very uncool of whoever did the promotion, hope LP offers an apology and gives those fans something extra (free t-shirt with the album?).

 

I say we take our digital voices to the Mike Shinoda blog. Of course in a well-mannered and educated way. Let's not be idiots, but maybe if we voice our concern that we feel that we've been misled... oh who am I kidding...

This is how Adam worded it on LP.com:

"the wait is almost over. "The Catalyst" will be released in the US and most other countries on Monday, August 2nd. But you don't need to wait that long"

The way that is worded, he is definitely saying before August 2nd. The word "that" was substituted for August 2nd. I suppose he might have chose the wrong words. Or he thought we were getting it a day early.
