More Video Stills From "The Catalyst"

Check out some more stills released on MTV.com from Linkin Park's new video "The Catalyst", which premieres on August 26th at 12:00 AM EST that morning on MTV.com and VH1.com. Check out an excerpt from Joe on the video:

Joe Hahn, Linkin Park's DJ and sampler, directed the "Catalyst" video (which will premiere on August 26 on MTV) name-checks Robert Oppenheimer, creator of the atomic bomb, and the Bhagavad Gita, a sacred Hindu scripture, when explaining the inspiration for the song and its video.

“When coming up with the idea of the visual piece to accompany the song, I thought of the end," Hahn says. “What would it look like and feel like if someone pushed the button to decide our fate? What would it feel like if we accepted our fate in the moment of devastation? If we had a final moment to celebrate our final living moments, how would that feel?"​

OK, so i read the article from the source link and that shit kinda irritated me. First off, they put a nu-metal tag on it on the bottom, last time i checked, LP has drifted away from their previous nu-metal sound. AND it said that Linkin Park officially called it a "concept album" when in fact, Mike has said repeatedly that its not exactly one, while Phoenix, who had an interview with MTV recently, has said that he didn't like that term when it came to A Thousand Suns. MTV wins at posting these pictures, but fails miserably at their article.

 

That's part of the reason why I didn't post the article lol. MTVfail.

 

This looks amazing. It also looks intense.
