What era of Linkin Park do you prefer? Quite honestly I like their 2007-current style alot more. I don't hate Hybrid Theory or Meteora, I just simply prefer their newer stuff. Especially The Catalyst.

New. They are starting to write music they'd like to play.

I'm going to say "new" because, well, it's new and I like it. The old stuff isn't going anywhere — I still have those albums. The Catalyst has quickly come to be one of my favorite songs by them, if not my most favorite.

The newer stuff has more meaning than the old music.

Both have their pros and cons. I guess on the balance of things their more recent work is more relevant to me as I am now.

I like Hybrid Theory. I like Minutes to Midnight...but their lyricism is waaaaay better now. So "new" LP wins

I love HT and Meteora more than M2M. But I still love M2M. I need to reserve my vote until ATS comes out. If that's mind blowing than I may say NEW. It would be more fair because it would be 2 vs. 2.

Can't judge new LP until ATS comes out imo.

As of right now I like their old stuff more, I really liked MtM but just not as much as HT and Meteora. ATS could definitely change my opinion though, as long as they don't make it too electronic-sounding.

I voted for Old just because it damn good quality music to bang your head to, sing along to, ect. But I'm pretty sure ATS is gonna blow everything out of the water.

    erm erm both? :awesome:

I'll say old for NOW, but i did love M2M. I will reserve my overall judgement for when ATS is released cos I have a feeling that is going to blow everything out of the water

I prefer the lyrics on MTM, yet as Cookie Monster said, old LP is just all round fun to listen to

HT and Meteora and Reanimation - I loved them from minute 1. M2M - I had to struggle to find it 'enjoyable'. And i did that because I liked LP. If they had put up M2M as their first record I doubt I would have given a damn.

As of this moment: Old. But we still are an album short on the new LP. So who knows. But yeah, I liked MtM as an in-between (no pun intended) album, but it just didn't feel as complete as Hybrid Theory. That said: I rank the non-remix albums as, HT > MtM > Meteora. So we'll see where ATS comes in.

Old because the new, for now, just bores the shit out of me.

When they came out they sounded unique and I loved them. Of course that style became the norm shortly after lol. When M2M came out I was completely underwhelmed, they sounded very cookie cutter modern rock. That album bored me to death. I can enjoy some of the songs on it now but it's still boring and has what I consider to be some of their worst songs on it. Loved New Divide. The Catalyst is a tad iffy to me. It's definitely a grower, I don't hate the song; in fact I kinda enjoyed it but I also liked What I've Done when it came out, so I am tentatively hopeful for ATS. I gotta go with old.

Out with the old and in with the new.

I'll be honest, as much as I emphasize that HT is on par with MTM, I listen to MTM a LOT more and on a more consistent rotation.

The last times I heard an HT song, to be quite honest, were at a karaoke bar where we were all drunk and singing In The End.

If you must know, I was Chester. And I kicked ass.
